Welp. Hopefully there's a better plan in place then signing some 2nd contract RBs anyway.
Allgeier had really poor numbers last year. Etienne had a resurgence, but he was always going to go for more $$ then a smart team would pay, imo. Looks like 4/52M.

In the basement at the Alamo.
These were just players bloggers and podcasters suggested. JS prefers the other teams to spend their asses off day 1 and then see what's left. More leverage to negotiate when the competition is cap-strapped...

I don't see why people insist on not giving our own RBs a second contract and then want to sign OTHER teams' running backs to a...second contract.

I would've really enjoyed Allgeier specifically at the price he got given how well he reads and operates within the outside zone. I agree with your main point, though.

So we fail for cheaper? The whole point you guys keep making is that their bodies break down.
I make no point whatsoever.

I could care less if their bodies break down.

Why pay ETN $13m or Walker $14, when I can pay Allgeier half of that?

Opportunity cost for me. Business.

Take a look at Alleier's numbers from last year. He averaged a career-low 3.6 yards per carry and average 0.11 broken tackles per rush, which ranked 49th out of 66 qualifying running backs. He's pretty much short yardage only at this point it seems.

You guys will draft a RB. Not sure you need to worry about signing a FA
