We are 1 game behind the niners and would hold that division tie breaker with a win in week 17

We are tied withe the Saints and Packers for the second best record in the conference.

Sure we had a bad game but the sky is far from falling on our season

Good points. Most of the threads aren’t the sky is falling so I think we’re all behind this thought at some level.

Football is a paid product. It’s entertainment. Watching this game is like the last season of GOT. It was good, appealed to many, but not everyone was happy. The product was bad.

Hometown and high school rah rah aside it’s not fun losing by giving most every team HOF numbers especially this one. Being beaten is noble. Losing is not.

$hit performance, but I just hope its a matter of getting it out the system now and then making one final push in the last three games before hitting the play offs.

10-3 is more than respectable at this stage and in most cases would have us leading the division!

There are three regular games to go and we are more than capable of clinching the west and who knows the #1 or #2 seed in the process.

Lets see how we react this week and next before what I believe will be the decider in week 17

After all is said and done, we are one win from our wild card spot. STILL control our own destiny to the division title and lost a division game.

One clunker doesn't magically change the entire season. This is still a damn good team who played a bad game. There is plenty to get done this year. I had a feeling it would be doom and gloom today. Oh well, that game sucked actual a** so it be what it be. On to Carolina.

Every game in the NFL is a battle, but Carolina has mailed it in and a bad (albeit division opponent) in AZ at home should be a W.

Playoffs are all but a lock and the division will likely be decided week 17 at home.

Good post.

By the way, to quote Lou Holtz, "after all is said and done, more will be said than done"

"After all is said and done" more is said than done.

Disappointing but not unexpected loss. The Rams last gap try for a playoff spot. Road game. Injury to Penny. Tough Rams team. NOT fun to watch.

Next.

This will definitely be a wake up call, and get the players to put their nose to the grindstone.

I think the difference between a win and a loss in the game, was the level of execution. The Rams hit on everything, and the Seahawks had a couple of highlights.

Our Seahawks looked sloppy, and it seems they were just a step, or thought behind in every play.

I would rather have the Seahawks play one bad game during the season then in a playoff game.

I'm with you David. Sure last night sucked...I mean, they preach it's not how you start but how you finish and this was the first game of the final quarter of the season annnnnnd....thud.

But it was one game. The Rams seem to have our number far more than not. They were desperate for a win to stay alive and we simply did not match their intensity. It was most disappointing to have it happen on Prime Time where they usually shine. The only reason I predicted a win for this game last week.

Yet we still have a record most teams would love to have right now. We are still totally in control of our destiny. Take care of business against two inferior teams and let the likely flexed game against the 49ers be for all the division marbles.

GO HAWKS!

While I agree overall, we got shown up. That doesn't mean we can't have an extraordinary recovery and go on a tear, and of course I hope we do. Rationally though, I think our defense is just far too weak to really make any impact in the post season this year. I will be very surprised if we are higher than 5th seed, and don't expect to win more than one playoff game.

With this "defense" (22nd ranked in yards allowed, 29th in points) we are not a championship caliber team, there just isn't any hard evidence that we're going anywhere in post season play this year realistically. :34853_doh:

Yeah, it was a clunker to say the least. But, sometimes you just get kicked in the mouth, now it's time to kick back.
Teams go on winning streaks, they do sometimes get a little cocky. Shoot, after the game, Griffin even talked about it after the game. Basically saying they can't just assume they will show up and win every time. Might end up being a good reality check for the team. Not that it's ever good to play that crappy.
But, it's one game...….let's get back at it on Sunday and get that momentum back.

The lack of a consistent defense and the lack of a pass blocking OL really puts the Hawks at a disadvantage going into the post season ; providing they get there . This offense is not built to score 30+ points every game to compensate for a defense that is playing at a less then average league level .

It's the kind of game you just wipe clean and move on. Rams clicked all night.

They need to take the next two and set up a showdown with SF in the last week, although that 49ers team with a healthy Kittle and Sanders (both of who missed the last game) is a terrible match-up for us.

Not trying to call you out, and I agree, but it seems behind what you're saying is "good teams are a terrible matchup for us".
