They'd do well to hold AP out til they get work a trade this off season. Why play him? It's pointless at this point. Padding numbers shouldn't be a consideration. Getting 2 1s for AP should be one of their several off season priorities, IMO. AP's a Lambo in a trailer park. Get 'em outta' there, thinks me.

AP is a freak but boy, 2 1s for a guy coming up on the 30 mark, that could turn really really ugly for the franchise that pulled the trigger on that if he hit that RB wall. AP has defied the odds in physical matters before, obviously, but man.

I totally agree and while Dontbe's point is valid, I think someone out there has picks and cap space enough to (at this time), might give the 2 1s for him. Rams perhaps? God forbid, but offload Bradford's deal, draft Manziel, then use their other 1 on AP, owing Minnesota another the year after. I'm sure the Vikes would love to keep him, but at his age and miles, how could they pass on 2 1s? Rams (in this example) would be instant contenders so those 1s would not be missed in the bigger picture.

You're probably right about some team going for it. Boy the Rams...do they have enough cap for that? No team would take Bradford without the Rams eating a ton of dead money, they'd be paying AP also. Manziel would be cheap to start with I realize.

Talk about another boom or bust move, just like Bradford. If AP comes and doesn't hit the wall. If Manziel comes and his game translates well enough to the NFL. They could make themselves dangerous or they could consign themselves to the dustbin for another 5 years with those moves.

It would be a good deal for the rams, but a questionable one for the Vikings. AP is still producing, and if you were to do that trade, the only thing you're banking on is that AP will stop producing, because those two 1st round picks aren't that great value in return in comparisons to AP's current value to your team(AP is everything to the vikings). If you're wrong and AP is still AP, then the Rams are a instant contender, and the picks you're probably getting back are #21-32 which probably won't equate to the level of impact AP can. If any RB can continue to do well, it's AP imo and until he starts showing signs of slowing down, it's hard for me to justify trading him for two (probably late) first round draft picks that may or may not work out. Like I said earlier, they're a QB away from being decent. Their record this year is looking shaky at best and if they're able to get a Manziel, Mariota, or Bridgewater to pair with AP...that would be scary.

Not a chance AP reels in 2 first rounders imo. He will be 29 in March.
Maybe 1 first because he could be good for another 3 years or so, but he's still about to hit that dreaded age of 30 for workhorse backs.

I hope he plays, want to see if the run defense is fixed.
Nobody better than AP to test that!
