"Harvin isn't the only key offensive player close to a return. Both starting tackles, Russell Okung and Breno Giacomini, got full workloads in Friday's practice for the first time in over a month. Carroll expects them both to be full speed for Week 11's tilt against the Minnesota Vikings."

If anything we should have all 3 of them back after the bye for the Saints game. I think we can and will win the next two games without all three of them, but if they are coming back then awesome. Actually I take that back, I hope they come back next week so they have some of the rust dusted off for when we play the Saints. The Saints game will determine who gets home field advantage. A must win if we want to go to the Superbowl.

Take a breath guys, they light at the end of the tunnel is near!

Minnesota games scares me. AP is so good and can and has won games all on his own. I really hope we have Harvin for that game and healthy O-Line

Honestly, I want them all to play vikes game. More time then not, players who have been out of the game for a bit don't play all that great their first game back. They could really use a home game against the vikes just for gameplay reaquaintance.

But their defense did their best to hand the game to the Skins, as ours did against STL. It even ended on an end-zone fade like the STL game did. It was weird.

I want to say it'll be a shootout, but it's more likely to be a runout.

.

I was thinking exactly that when I watched it. I was like what the heck did they just do there and didn't St Louis do the same stupid thing. Great first down play but a fourth down where they allow the sideline to play that big of a role seemed dumb

It would be glorious! :3:

I kind of wish Ponder was starting instead of Cassell. Our D had him completely figured out last year.

The only thing that scares me about the Minnesota game is that Allen and Robison will absolutely murder our backup tackles if we don't get Breno and Okung back.

I'm worried about AP, sure, but scared what Allen will do to Wilson. He delivered some absolutely wicked shots to RGIII and didn't seem to mind if any of them were late or not.

I have heard Ponder might still start...here is a report I found

"On Christian Ponder: Sources tell me his left shoulder dislocation is considered minor. Very possible he starts next week. Will know by Wed"

I would love to say the Vikings will be a pushover but they are 3 defensive stops, or 3 first downs by the offense before giving the ball back in the Bears, Cowboys, and Browns game from being 5-4 right now. Their defense has been one of the worst in the last 30 years though. If the season were to end right now they would be the fifth worst defense in points given up since 1981. Ironically this years Jags and Redskins would also be one of those 5 teams. They are also 50% on 3rd down conversions which hasnt been done since 1995 by the Browns.

I would expect Wilson and the offense to be able to be very effective but the strongest part of the Vikings D is their pass rush which could be trouble if we are still missing half the line. And there is also the Fact our run D has been struggling and AP looks to be back to normal. The problem with AP this year has been the terrible line. When he has gotten any chance to make a play he has made it.

If Okung is back he will probably shut down Allen. It seems like Allen always dissapears against the more Elite LTs.

AP hasn't really been in "takeover" mode all year. He's averaging about eighty yards a game, but nothing that we should be scared of.
Correct. We're talking about Cassell here. One thing we do well is pressure the quarterback and Cassell is horrible versus pressure. Ponder is far more mobile.

Minny may be the worse team sans the jags we have played all hear. The hawks will play more base defense without shooting the gaps, that alone will take care of the run issues. I bet James got more yards than all day will get.

If Harvin makes his debut vs. Minnesota, that means his final game as a Viking will be against the Seahawks, and his first game for the Seahawks (his very next game) would be against the Vikings. That's got to be weird. Reminds me of the Ichiro swap last year.

I live in Minnesota. I've seen them play. Trust me, there's nothing to worry about.

-AP's good, but can't beat us by himself.
-The QB position is a mess.
-The O-line is pretty much worse than ours.
-The coaching staff is deficient.
-And the defense is terrible.

And to top it off, we play in Seattle. The Vikings will be the easiest victory this season.

The Saints might not even win their own division. They have to play the surging Panthers twice, the Hawks and the 49ers.

I just want to see the offense operate at maximum. I want to get past the "what ifs" and see the real deal.

Sucks not having Rice out there for full effect, but we'll get a good 98% of the overall image Pete has in mind.

Wrong thread, or did I miss something?
