A Reminder On Bait and Switch Thread Titles

A member recently was given a 3 day "break" due to an egregious bait and switch thread title. I take full responsibility as "break inducer".

Since 1998, .NET has adamantly been against any and all bait and switch thread titles. Simply due to the fact that we cherish .NET to being one of the quickest legitimate Seahawks news-related breaking sources due to the amount of fans who are constantly scouring the web 24/7 for any news breaking when it comes to our team. I have taken this seriously from day one and continue to this day.

That is why I wanted to remind our community that just because it is April Fools Day does not give anyone a free pass.

Please, please keep this in mind no matter what day of the year it is.

Some history behind April Fools Day

It goes back to 1500s France where the Julian calendar was replaced by the Gregorian calendar in the old Julian calendar the New Year began on April 1st and with the new Gregorian calendar the New Year started on January 1st news back than didn’t travel fast and those that still followed the Julian calendar using April 1st as the new year were widely mocked as April Fools
