Just because I love this stuff........
A buddy of mine has a son that is part of the NAS Whidbey squadron involved in the flyover Sunday. Originally, he was supposed to be on the field at Century Link coordinating the flyover, but got bumped by a senior guy. Now he's stuck back at Whidbey manning the radios and helping coordinate the launch from there.
Anyway, here is his description of what they are planning on Sunday.
Two Super Hornet EA-18G Growlers will be overtaking a much slower SH-60 "Seahawk" helicopter, towing a USA flag over the stadium. They'll be lighting the blowers approaching the stadium to see if the noise even registers above the 12th Man decibel level.
I can't wait!!!
Make sure to get to your seats on time!
Go Hawks!
