5th round, Pick #171, Alex Collins, RB, Arkansas

If our OL can't open holes, it won't matter how many RBs we have. Like someone else said, it's good value based on the round he was projected to go in, but Kyle Murphy was a 3-4 round projection too and is still a much bigger need.

Some RBs can give more of a spark to the OL, kind of like the way Shaun's holes got a lot worse once his dancing days hit their worst, or how Percy Harvin got much better blocking from the same ST crew once he arrived.

Collins was a good fit, good value, and has the obligatory Chip on the Shoulder Pete and John want. BPA pick.

Watched him play every game this season,(I am a Razorback fan), (since the 60's).

Lynch is a transcendent player. As fans we need to accept that its going to be a long time before another Marshawn Lynch emerges. Just like it will be a long time for another Russell Wilson. Or a Richard Sherman. Or a Walter Jones, Steve Hutchinson, etc.

However, that doesn't mean Collins can't play and be pretty damn good. In the 5th round you want someone that can contribute. If they become better than a role player thats even better.
