Really disappointed JS didn't get anything done. PC said in his radio interview yesterday that JS was working on 4 possible trades. Obviously none of them ever got any traction. Was really hoping for a big WR.

Pete was joking.

That quote he made on his coaches show about if he should just tell them all the details about the 4 trades John is working on was definitely a joke, but I'm certain John was on the phone seeing what was out there.

I'm guessing since we haven't heard of a deal, that there wasn't one to be had with value. Value is the most important aspect of a trade, which is one reason (of many) that the NFL trade deadline usually passes by without the flurry of action that baseball has.

Soooo,

I guess we were good after the Percy outing, now it's put up or shut up.

All that's left is the crying.

Did you really want him to overpay for a receiver? If the teams he was talking to wouldn't budge from their asking prices, I'm glad JS didn't give in.

I was hoping that they had a plan in place when trading PH away. Even with PH under contract they still had a plan in place to sign RW next year. I'd feel much better about this team moving forward if we still had Tate. But we don't. This team is lacking big time at the WR position make no mistake about it. I'm not exactly sure what the Seahawks are thinking trading our best offensive weapon for a 6th round pick and not addressing it by the trade deadline. Glad you guys are drinking the koolaid that this team can compete against top tier teams with this Offense. I'm not.

How hot is it supposed to be at game time? And we've got our dark unis. I sure wish we had a dome stadium at times.

Out of morbid curiosity, when was the last big trade the Seahawks did right before the deadline?

I'm not remembering one, like ever.

There are very few major trades at the NFL deadline historically. Tt's not like baseball. We did just fine last year with Harvin missing almost the entire season. I think they addressed it by drafting Richardson and Norwood. With Harvin gone those two are finally getting real snaps. The FO is thinking long term here and letting the players develop. It's Chess, not checkers.

I loved seeing C.M. Norwood and Richardson, and KPL get in there and get their feet wet.

Who knows how many plays they can make and I am so grateful that we have P & J running the team and not some fan on a message board.

Exactly. The Band-Aid has been ripped off and catches and runs at speed and competition have been made with all those guys. They felt the hits and are saying "that wasn't nothing".

I feel a nice little three-game win streak coming on.

I can't think of a deadline deal either. Probably the closest was the acquisition of Lynch in 2010, which was in the beginning of October. But I can't think of anything that was a deadline deal.

Even that wasn't considered a major trade at the time. Only became one in hind-site.

It wouldn't be for Lane, though that was my first thought. Not eligible to return to active roster yet.

They are readjusting their roster for this week. They kept a practice squad spot open over the weekend.[tweet]https://twitter.com/bcondotta/status/527211098685325312[/tweet]

Makes sense, I think we were coming due on a decision there. Lane will likely be activated next week for the Giants game.

He has been listed as a 54th on the active roster for a week or so. But it make sense that they are going to get the regular roster down to 53 again. They have yet to revise their rosters since the weekend.
