I think his time with the Raiders really expanded his outlook on coaching, and maybe reinforced his own philosophy. It had to have been tough when del Rio took his play calling duties from him, and maybe caused him to do some soul-searching.
At the time, I thought it was dumb to do that, and overly dramatic. I still do, but I also think that Ken being reinstated, then del Rio eventually getting fired demonstrated that it shouldn't have been done to begin with.
Norton will have this defense fired up and kicking ass in short order. Once we get our run game going, we'll be back to our old selves, this time with Ken Norton Jr. at the helm of the #1 scoring defense.
