I'm surprised that he was cut, and I'm surprised Seattle didn't put in a claim for him. In college he was a terrific TE/FB hybrid who was basically Gronk-lite at breaking tackles. Seattle was trying random TEs at FB this preseason, and Zach Miller was our backup TE last season. To have that much ability and still get cut despite being a 4th rounder... and then get awarded to a super low waiver seed like SF... he must have sucked in the preseason, I guess. Had to of. I like the gamble by SF though.
