She is a gorgeous lady for sure. I am surprised by the number of arrests that organization has dealt with the past few years. Crazy.

11th arrest in four years for the Niners.

Is this the kind of "class" Jed keeps referring to?
In Baalke's defense, all the arrested guys had long arms.

Not defending Miller here because I don't yet know what happened, but he hasn't yet been charged with anything. He was arrested.

So far all I've seen is that she said she was "attacked" and he took her keys. She also said "nevermind" at the end of her call...so no idea what that means.

If Miller hit her, cut him. Now.

Just dunno what happened yet so I'd slow down on judgment.
ZERO tolerance policy man, freakin' ZERO when it comes to laying a hand on a woman.
At least your post came with the caveat that if it's found he did this he ought to be cut immediately. The problem is that victims remain victims because they retract their accusationbs far, far too often. And if you waqit for the no justice system to play all of this out she feels more and more pressure to retract, especially since he's a higher profile person.

...jeez.

I guess arrest means guilt these days. There is no acceptable reason to hit his wife, but you are condemning him before you've heard a damn thing.

Sad. I hope you never find yourself accused of anything.
I GUARENTEE if I am it won't be for "spousal battery" or any other form of abuse of a woman or a child or a dog or a cat or..........

If you say so.

All I can say is that one of the most gentle men I've ever met found himself arrested and spent a night in jail because his wife hit HIM, went to the doctor because her arm hurt afterward, and the police went to his house and arrested him.

Police don't mess around on this issue. As you said...so many women recant because they don't want to get their husband in trouble...but that also means the law is set up to account for that and will arrest even if the wife never wanted it. If the police are called, someone's going to jail guilty or not.

I'm not sayin' Miller is innocent. I don't know the details so I don't have the first clue, but he at least deserves the benefit of the doubt until more than an arrest comes to light.

Anybody else intrigued by Marv's story? Tell us about this gentle man and your interactions. Wait, didn't you already tell this story? You had a brother or a brother-in-law that was arrested and you tried to dissuade their accuser from pressing charges or something?

Give us the goods, Marv.

It was an in-law and that's as much as I'll say.

Embarrassing for the whole family. I didn't try to dissuade at all. It simply didn't happen. She tried to stop it immediately but the law is written to protect her, so she couldn't stop it once it started until 6 months later.

She simply had no idea that saying what she said at the hospital would lead to what it led to. She was angry (over what they were arguing about in the first place) and spitting venom and the nurses got the police involved.

Once that happened...she couldn't stop it.

It happens. The law is written that way for a reason. It is and should be written that way to protect people from themselves...

...but it can also trap innocent people. They tried for 6 months to get him to plead guilty and he simply wouldn't do it because he didn't do it.

Again, I don't have the first clue if Miller is similar or not. The experience tho simply taught me that it isn't always black and white when people are arrested for spousal abuse.
