They had already traded for a kicker this offseason too.

I get stuck watching a lot of Michigan football and he's really good though. Thought I was done with him.

Yeah he is but the 3rd round bro? You draft football players in the top 3 rounds not a kicker

I get we want to ridicule San Fran any chance we get but most of that round was so gut wrenching with every NFC West team having multiple picks and the Seahawks trading out.

I’m glad they took a kicker instead of someone like Dawand Jones.

There's a big difference between taking a specialist in the 3rd than the 5th.
Aren't pretty much all football players specialists?

Can someone tell me why football fans don't really value kickers? In a game where close games come down to a FG or not would you not want the best kicker there is and pay him handsomely to stick around?

In NZ where rugby is king the most pivotal player 90% of the time needs to be a demon with the boot, they hold all the records for most points scored over a career much like the NFL.

Football is won by most points scored, so surely players who score the most points shouldn't only be drafted in the 5th or later?

Lynch has put together a great roster, but roster talent ages/dissipates so quickly that this seems questionable at best for a team without a first and second.

Two kickers in the backfield? Who's going to kick the ball and who is going to pick up the block??? Only SC knows, and SC ain't tellin'.
200
GOOD LUCK DEFENSES. Prepare to get wrecked mentally by SC's kicker tandem.

I don’t mind them taking a kicker but dudes accuracy from greater than 50 was not stellar? Maybe that is ok in college ? No idea, head scratcher for sure

I read The same.

The kicking competition is now between this kid and Zane Gonzales, whom Carolina benched for Eddie Piniero, whose Errant leg eliminated them from playoffs last year.

Ya not getting the logic of drafting a kicker in the top 100, cant defend that.
draft is meh so far, we will see what they can find in the tweener fest the rest of the way.
