You forgot three 2014 opponents

Home: Detroit, New Orleans,

Neutral: Denver or New England

I would love to get the Bears in the Clink. Seems like we have been to Soldier a ton lately. Plus the last game in Seattle was an awful game in the neons with Seneca. Would love to get that taste out of my mouth.

The Saints would have a heart attack if that was true! :sarcasm_on:

LOL, why would that be? We're 23-13 on the road in the regular season since 2009, which is the best road record in the NFL. The Patriots have the 2nd best record in that same time-frame at 22-14. Don't drink the Kool-Aid of 'the Saints aren't the same team away from the Dome / they're terrible on the road' from the ESPN / FOX / NBC / CBS / *insert other big-name network here* commentators. We're certainly the same team, we just simply prefer it be a nice 76° F without any wind, but we can deal with it.

The stats listed are after our week 5 victory in Chicago, since then we've lost in New England and in New York (Jersey) against the Jets, so I've updated the records to how they currently reflect. The Patriots also have lost against the Jets at MetLife so I updated that too. :th2thumbs:

I don't know where you got that 2014 Opponents list but according to the NFL Record and Fact Book the Seahawks home games for next year are against:

DEN, OAK, DAL, NYG, SF, ARZ, STL and the same place finisher in the NFC North

Away games are: KC, SD, PHIL, WASH, SF, ARZ, STL and the same place finisher NFC South

This is correct, we'll have you guys at the Dome next year. So ya'll will need to get your butts down here so we can do some drinkin'. :thirishdrinkers:

Fun little anecdote.. the Mariners are on the road on the 4th (Thursday) and the 7th (Sunday)

So very good odds the season begins at home next year.

It would be fun to catch a game at Arrowhead. The rivalry has really died down a lot in the decade since the move, but I am sure older Hawk fans would be excited to see @KC on the schedule. I'm not even going to look up our franchise record there but it would be great to get some revenge.

Edit: I looked it up and it is as miserable as I remember. 2 wins and 19 losses in arrowhead since 1981.

I remember both wins.... the famous Dave Krieg to Paul Skansi win and the Sunday nighter where Ricky Watters gashed KC

Getting the Broncos and Saints at home again would be amazing.

None of those away games scare me much.

Wow really ? We've typically played poor at KC and it's a tough place to play. Saints on the road will be tough. SF is tough, as of right now we haven't won there in like 5 years. We've also barely squeaked out one win and lost one the last two years in STL; that's never a gimme game. Packers or Bears away could be tough.

There's some good games in there for sure. NFC East and AFC West are good draws for us next year: the NFCE is easily the worst division in football and the AFCW will have some easy games with OAK and SD ( depending how they manage things this offseason).

In the past, next seasons opponents were not decided till the end of the current season. The deeper a team went into the playoffs, the tougher their opponent would be.

When did they do away with that system?

That system is still in place but it only is applied for two games, one home and one away. It doesn't matter how deep you go in the playoffs though, only your division standing. So next year we play the same place finisher from the NFC North at home and the same place finisher in the NFC South away. This year it is Minnesota at home and the Giants on the road.

The Seahawks should be scheduled to host the Steelers in 2015.

To look at our schedule up until 2019, go to www.johnnyroadtrip.com
It gives you the 8, out of division teams who we are playing each yr. plus the division of the other 2 games. We play the team in those divisions that came in the same place as us.
In case your having brain freeze, the othe 6 games are our division games.

Until KC gets a QB, I'm not worried about them. They're barely a top 10 team and haven been graced by the scheduling gods to place garbage teams. Historical stats don't mean anything about facing a team, but yeah, it is a semi-difficult place to play.

Why even bring up @SF or @STL? We'll play there regardless of year.
