12th man during superbowl

I was thinking about how most of the nation thinks that the noise from the 12th man comes from the way our stadium was built, but the superbowl had to prove that we are the loudest fans in the NFL regardless of our stadium. I mean we punked the Bronco fans without even filling the entire stadium up. Peyton Manning couldn't audible because of the noise in the stadium that wasn't our own.

Funnily enough I was thinking the same thing only last night.

It was pretty damn loud where we were in the 300s. Not much quieter (as I remember it) than the home game against SF (also watched that from the 300s).

A row of Donkeys fans in front of us were not happy about it. The one in front of me swapped places with his buddy at the far end after one quarter, as if that would make a difference.

It hadn't helped that, prior to kickoff, the stadium presenters on the big screen had been asking the crowd who made the most noise. When asked, the Donkeys fans sat in their seats and whooped and hollered. When the Seahawks fans were asked, every 12 there stood up and roared their heads off.

I couldn't say whether or not they could be louder than us normally. Let's face it, they didn't have much to cheer about from 12 seconds in.

The 12's were awesome at the SB. There was definitely a ton of hideous orange in the stands but after the opening kickoff they had nothing to cheer about.

The 12's were screaming, chanting "LOB" and going nuts the whole game. It was awesome.

Even my wife who is normally pretty quiet was screaming 'Kill Manning!' so loud she even shocked me.

It wasn't just the super bowl either. The Seahawk fans were pretty loud at some road games as well. The Cardinals game in particular.

There were several times this past season when the Seahawks chant was audible on the TV broadcast of away games.
