For some unknown reason, I'm reminded of Raymond Barry who, like Bobo, was also considered to be too slow. Although unlike Raymond, Bobo does have equal length legs working for him. Raymond's performance in the 1958 Championship game was considered by many to have been the "greatest game ever played". Raymond was a 1959 triple crown winner leading the league receptions, yards and touchdowns. Raymond Barry and Johnny Unitas are still considered, by many, to be the greatest pairing in NFL history.
I'm thinking Bobo is someone special. Someone who can be trusted to execute precise assignments consistently.
With Bobo, I have this feeling that the best is yet to come.

Click here for his Wikipedia entry. His playing career ended before I was born, so the first I remember hearing of him was when he was the head coach of the New England Patriots, making him unmissable for me because I lived in Maine and therefore heard about him constantly. My dad and I disliked the Patriots, and we may or may not have (OK, we did) refer to Mr. Berry as "Dingle" on occasion, but my dad made a point of telling me that Berry had been a great player, and that even though my dad was rooting against the team Berry was coaching, my dad still respected Berry greatly as a player. At the time, there was no feasible way for my dad to show me Berry playing. Today we have YouTube, and there are video highlights of Berry available.
Berry was the other team's head coach in the Seahawks road game I attended in Foxborough in '86. Heh. Knox's Seahawks beat Berry's team.
