Should we trade a 4th or 5th rounder for Golden Tate

Word has it he is on the block. He would improve our receiving and return game bigtime.

Any difference in Wilson's pocket stance?

I know Schotty and Wilson is emphasizing a wider base and as a result a quicker trigger in the pocket. I like the idea but hope they don't tweak too much. A wider base may lend to a higher risk of getting his legs rolled on or potentially reducing his height/vision in the pocket. I bring this...

    Ohio state vs Wisconsin anyone?

Wisconsin seems outmatched athletically. Their defense stepping up but the offense needs a spark. That Wisconsin hb pitch right and pass back to his qb was a Chryst/Wilson special in 2011. Wilson twice caught that pass play for big gains.

Is our Defense really 30th in stopping the run?

I believe our defense is stout against the run minus the lapses. But 3 games into the season we have given up 438 yds. I know it's early but I don't recall the Hawks under PC ever being rated this low on rush defense and overall defense.

Minnesota with Case Keenum beats up good Buccaneers team

PC and Bevell could learn from what vikings against a very good Buccaneers team. It speaks highly of OC Pat Shurmur when he can coach up Case frickn Keenum (who sucked last week) and make him look GREAT--getting the ball out in 2 seconds with tempo and anticipation. On several plays Case got...

    Down or Int?

Luke's ass was on the ground before they stripped the ball but no challenge because no TO?

    I WANT MORE MCEVOY PLEASE!

I absolutely love his instincts and toughness. We have yet to uncover his abilities as a WILDCAT qb/receiver talent he flashed in college. IMO Just what should be prescribed for this offensive futility.

    Start Rawls

Tired of the overhyped 3 ypc Lynch machine. Sure he plows into 5 players but we need yards not a 2 yd battering ram.

    Kevin Norwood Panthers debut

Two receptions on two attempts for 40 yards. He is proving his sure handedness. Nice to hear he is getting PT. Panthers beat Steelers.

    Sammie Coates biggest downside

Body catches too much per scouting reports. Is this knock on him enough to make him available to us as a second round pick #63? Would anybody else mind taking him at #31? He is a dangerous receiver with great strength/speed combo. I think what gets undervalued is how quickly he brings in...

    Lockette is likely gone.

Based on the management's backing of Bevell as well as expert's take on what went wrong. Lockette the rockette did not go full throttle. Had it been Baldwin, Kearse even Lynch that play gets made. You must FLASH on that route and at the very least shield it. Some fans are saying Wilson led him...

    Time to Change Our Image?

Two superbowls under this team's belt. Although it isn't true we are believed by most to be among the dirtiest and most immature teams. Fans of other teams I know point to "the Mouth" Sherman and Baldwin as confident but selfish representatives of the Hawks who they despise. Their image of...

    Brandon Browner was the difference

Not only did he diagnose the play and upgrade Pats defense this season but we lost the intimidation factor when he left. He was Brandon aka Patriot killer last time around.

It was Deja Vu for Kevin Williams...

http://www.startribune.com/sports/vikings/289097731.html In the NFC Championship game his team had committed 5 turnovers and things just weren't going right for them (sound familiar?). The difference this time is that they won and he will finally go to his first Superb Owl. Wonderful article...

    Where is our running game?

I don't have the game but can anyone tell me why we are not running Lynch more? Is it his back?

    Niner's Borland making his mark

As a playmaker on an already good defense. I thought there would be a drop in play when Bowman went down but this guy is proving me wrong with 12 tackles and 2 Int against the Giants.

    Thunder and Lightning?

I don't know if this was already mentioned. On Bob and Groz, Groz mentions Thunder and Lightning as a nickname for the Lynch and Harvin combo (power and speed). I believe this nickname has been used before by the NY Giants for their combo of Dayne and Barber. Would it be strange if we re...

Pryor as our Read Option/Wildcat changeup?

Watching Pryor's college and pro highlights you can see what a unique running threat he is in the read option and empty sets. Although RW has proven to be just as good running the read option there have been times last year when RW chose not to keep it and missed opportunities for yardage...

Percy's ailing hip (Bait & Switch Post)

Sorry fellow Hawks. Didn't see any updates here but Percy supposedly made the decision yesterday. Disappointing news.
