Stafford started his playoff career 0-3, even when throwing to MEGATRON. Six sacks, 3 picks. He sucks. You just can't trust him.
In contrast, at least Sam is 1-1 to start his playoff career.
even now I watch that TD that Holani recovered in the endzone on the kickoff, and I don't see what we normally call "possession". He falls on it, rolls, lets it go and it's so fast that I am surprised every time that they called it a TD.
Charb's replacement will be the best available blocker who can also run. Blocking isn't Walker's strength and we'll need that against the Rams defense.
Probably because Mcvay is as strong in his specialty (offense) as Macdonald is in his (defense). Well, almost. (hopefully :) ) These are going to be hard fought chess matches two or three times a year for a long time. Or at least until Mcvay decides to retire after Stafford does. (which...
This is misleading. They're not 7-0 THIS YEAR with Martin as the ref. Several of the games mentioned aren't from this year, including a 26-20 OT win over the Hawks.
The Rams are a good team. What is their record with other officials? If you can't compare, then you're just accepting cherrypicked...
Tomlin is still under contract until 2027. He "stepped down" and was not fired, so any team that wants to hire him would need to come to an agreement with the Steelers.
I'll admit it, this one makes me nervous. I'm a big Darnold defender and as I've pointed out to defend him, half of this season's turnovers came against the Rams. What was a statement of support in every other game now becomes a negative. Our defense is great....and allowed Puka Nacua over 200...
Ugh. Another week of the talking heads rehashing the same old "Darnold vs the Rams" storylines.
Not to mention the forum doing the same thing.....time for another 30 page Sam thread.
I told my wife it was a "russell wilson at his finest" kind of play.
TBH it might have been better. Running from the 15 to the 40 and completing that pass?!? wow.
Sam might never remove the narrative because the narrative was hogwash to begin with. He'd played on one good team in his career, and had had ONE playoff game. He'd had a "big game" with the #1 seed on the line the week before his lone playoff game. Yes, he played poorly in those two games...
He already got a fine for throwing the third TD into the stands. I'm sure he doesn't want to keep racking those up, especially while still on his rookie contract. :P
Here's some fun stats....Brody Purdy vs. a Mike Macdonald defense. He's had one really good game, last year before we got Ernest Jones and the defense gelled.
