    Double digit losses

Didn't we inflict one of those double digit losses on the Pats, in Boston, after a short week?

Did Marshawn Curse the RB Position for Hawks

Curt Warner and John L Williams - what a great duo they were in our backfield.

    QB rating system

Many years ago I made up an Excel spreadsheet to calculate QB ratings. What is kinda weird is all of us who have never actually played QB in any game "have" a rating of 39.6, because of not having thrown any interceptions!

When did you start following the Seahawks?

I first started following the Seahawks in the 1984-5 season, when a visiting American began his first postdoc appointment in our neurogastroenterology lab, here in Adelaide, South Australia. I previously had no interest in American football, but he taught me the rules. We used to watch games on...

    Introduce yourself!

Welcome, Matt! Happy St Patrick's Day for yesterday, too. I'm from Australia; it's great to have Seahawks fans from all around the world!

    Best writer on .Net

I love Aros'/Todd's posts, for sheer humanity. For me, the joy of the Internet is not "just" about information, it is about people. NOT original words, but simply quoting a signature a guy I've known via email for almost 25 years uses. Also PMedic/Lon, GeekHawk/Patrick and LymonHawk/[don't...

    Imagine?

Yes, but as Stephen King says - sh*t in one hand and wish in the other, and see which one fills up first. I'm disappointed of course (and have no-one to drown sorrows with in Adelaide), but proud of the 10-6 season, and pushing Dallas to the end. No excuses. GO SEAHAWKS!!!

Will Seabass be back nest year?

I'd have more confidence in Kim Jong-un as a kicker than Walsh. I have no idea why we ever signed him. Maybe we got rid of Steve Haushka prematurely, perhaps? Having said that, I don't remember the salient reasons he was released.

Merry XMAS 12's - Pete Carroll has an announcement to make

All I get is: "Video unavailable This video contains content from SME, who has blocked it in your country on copyright grounds." I won't include a Smack Shack kind of grumble here... but it makes me so angry! May the drop-bears crush and maim them!

The road to the Super Bowl goes through Seattle

Was that in Boston, after a very short week, which everyone quite rightly was unhappy with? The scheduling, I mean, not the win! :)

If I'm a Scout, I'm Going to Australia....

Yep, drop-kicks and drop-bears! :) Seriously, the dropkick hasn't been used in Aussie rules since the early 70s. It is also rare to see a torpedo punt (similar to an American football punt) these days; the drop punt is ubiquitous these days. It isn't kicked on the half-volley like a...

    Solari

I was of course worried when JR Sweezy went down, and the other linemen were frantically calling for assistance for him, and the commentator said the offensive line was a brotherhood. That is exactly what it SHOULD be! I hope we all absolutely fete them, like Washington did their original...

    I Never Had Any doubt!

Fantastic early Xmas present! So, do y'all put your 12 flags up now? When does the flag go up on the Space Needle? GO SEAHAWKS, and Happy Christmas, everyone! I'm off to the local pub for dinner now (Xmas Eve here)...

    Weather

Thank you! I didn't remember there WAS a delay in the game. Also, agreed about the limited reliability of precipitation forecasts over more than 2-3 days, as I've been told by a friend who is a professor at the University of Washington.

    Weather

Does anyone remember a game in Kansas City, a good many years ago, where it rained torrentially during a massive thunderstorm, IIRC? I recall it made the news here, and I thought at the time how crazy it was that the game was not interrupted, for obvious reasons. The water was pouring down the...

Who is the best pass rusher is Hawks history.

Michael Sinclair returned a blocked Al del Greco field goal attempt for a game-winning touchdown at the Kingdome, circa early November, 1996. Must be my (Seahawk) Finest Hour. I yelled and screamed - I was THERE!

    The Return of Richard Sherman

Absolutely agreed! As someone wrote somewhere above - the Washington debacle last season, which we were "supposed" to win easily. You can surely stub your toe very badly on a log of overconfidence.

    Best Part Of The Win?

Great point! This (very important) observation is often incredibly ignored.

    Hey NFL...Still Sleeping On Seattle?

It's wonderful how much the OL has improved, AND that the importance of this is being so clearly appreciated. Maybe we could "brand" our OL (if that is the right word), like the Redskins' "Hogs"? I really enjoyed how much their play was valued.
