Good God. They want to 'get the run game going'?

Then we need to go get some decent RBs. But it ain't going to happen today. As fragile as Darnold is, because he is accurate, he just needs to pass more - not less.

    Rivers is outplaying Darnold.

Darnold is tremendously accurate. But man is he mentally weak. Just falls apart under any adversity. He is weirdly like some Anti-Russel Wilson.

    Why are we calling TOs?

We aren't scoring before the half after the Colts score. But we are taking pressure off the Colts. That was stupid.

This offense is actually impossible to watch

We have a great defense. But our weaknesses at QB1 and RB1 are the reasons the Rams are better than us.

    Rivers is outplaying Darnold.

Rivers is playing the Seahawk Defense. Darnold is playing the Colts D missing 2 CBs. Are you really trying to imply they are equal? Darnold is putting up similar #s against a much worse opponent. Meanwhile that opponent (who is hamstrung by age and rust) is matching him in production...

    Rivers is outplaying Darnold.

Last week, Darnold barely gave us the same yardage as a rookie QB making his vs start vs the Hawk Defense. Now, he is giving us the same #s as a borderline retired, near over the hill QB making his first start in 5 years. As bad as the RB room is, pretty clear the weak link on this team is...

Will Seattle get a call in their favor?

Just for the heck of it, we should still probably just line up on the right side of the LOS.

Walker seems to not have his explosion

That's on Walker. Walker likes to get the ball 8-10 yds back so he can see the field and so he can beeline towards the edge. Charbs doesn't. You get the ball that far back - even if you get a few yards...a defender likely meets you near the LoS. On most teams, Walker would be that '3rd down...

    This can't keep going on

Our obsession with running the ball regardless of having one of the worst RB rooms in the league - likely not going to change. We have a bottom third RB roster.

Walker seems to not have his explosion

Charbs is worse. Charbs is better at getting 2-3. And Charbs is better at pass pro (but more Walker is much worse). But neither back is going to get you 4 very often. Maybe on a screen pass.

    This can't keep going on

Why would you EVER give Walker the ball on 3rd and 4? Walker gets you 2-3 or 8 to 15 if he gets the edge...he isn't giving you 4 running up the middle. Almost ever.

Walker seems to not have his explosion

Walker is feast or famine back. And he can pretty much only run to the outside. He is good when he gets to the edge but he is a very flawed back. I doubt anything is wrong with him - he just either breaks out for a big gain or gives you little to nothing.

    Darnold terrified me

I understand why we run the ball inside our own 20 even though our running backs are pretty piss poor. Because inside his own 20, Darnold is close to worthless. Worse he tends to be a threat to give up the ball. He really is the biggest threat to our defense in half our games. Darnold inside...

Riq Woolen Maturing and Improving Focus?

But he's OUR dumbass. Browneresque that way.

    Another Sam Darnold milestone

Maybe, but this team has to ride Sam. Because #1 our RBs suck*. #2 our WRs are the strength of the offense - if not the strength of the team (along with the defense). He is never going to be the Dilfer type. He will put the ball in harm's way. He will get flustered under pressure, maybe more...

    Ohio /Indiana ?

Ohio State has a talent/roster advantage over almost every team it plays. Including Indiana. But, like Lanning, if you can keep the game close - Day is good for a terrible decision per game that will cost his team the game. But you need to keep the game close enough for that mistake to matter...

    Another Sam Darnold milestone

Disagree. When Sam is struggling against bottom-half teams, we need to run less - not more. This was exactly what I wanted for Darnold. They did exactly what I wanted, dialed back the running. This was an opponent that our D could hold in check. Sam was making poor decisions, and that was...

Riq Woolen Maturing and Improving Focus?

At some point, just treat him like Browner. Browner was good for at least one 15 each game. But he absolutely made 3-4 critical plays per game. Riq has dialed back on trying for the pick and instead getting his hand on more passes to knock them away. Easily 3+ critical plays made per game too...

    Ohio /Indiana ?

He beat LSU with freaking James Madison. That is all I needed to know.

    Ohio /Indiana ?

Cignetti is going to make Indiana a Goliath too. He is everything I wanted in a coach. His DC is effing amazing as well. Wrings every bit of talent out of the kids he has.
