    Our GM is solid AF

I digress (again) but I have been a member of my local semi-professional Australian Rules football club (Sturt) for over 20 years. At the Annual General Meetings, we've given the Board a huge ovation, which they clearly show a heartfelt appreciation for. Point being - don't underestimate the...

    SB48 Tate vs Harvin

As the Irish say - everyone can brighten up a room. Some by entering it, and some by leaving. :)

    Happy Holidays

Happy Xmas to all Seahawkers. It's nearly 6PM Xmas Day here, so it's all over for another year... and as always, I'm looking forward to Day One of the Boxing Day Test tomorrow, when all the annual McConsumerism spasm is over, and the cricket begins again. 80,000+ crowd at the MCG. This will...

Nacua accuses refs of making up calls to get on TV

In Australian football (and actually in Australia in general), trash talk is a VERY bad idea. There's karma, and the "Football Gods" to consider+++, even if you're NOT "superstitious." Players get called out severely by their own coach if they do so.

This Is Our Super Bowl (Up To This Point)

Totally unanimous with you, Aros! I shall be watching it in replay on the streaming, as their constant self-advertising is absolutely relentless, and I zap them all! The game starts at 11:45AM Friday here, so it will be mid-arvo before I watch it: thus keeping off Seahawks.net before it starts...

    Chucky interviews Vinny Testaverde (VIDEO)

Glenwo2 - I read an article about Vinny many years ago in Football Digest. It was said he "took little or no credit when things went well, and took far too much blame on himself when things went badly." I tried to learn from that, in general life. BTW, did anyone else here get that (long ago...

Why Jennings got punched in the nads

Just looked him up, and yes, GB kicker. But... what did he do to annoy Myles Garrett?

    Worst Dominating Win...

Totally agree with your post, but I think some defensive games can be terrific to watch.

Kenny Easley has passed at 66

I was shocked to read of Kenny Easley's very untimely death. Some very powerful posts here sincerely moved me to tears... and I am not embarrassed to "admit" it.

Kenny Easley has passed at 66

I bow to you for being a kidney donor. May you live long and happy. Was going to mention it was ibuprofen, not paracetamol (our name for acetaminophen)... at least aspirin (acetylsalycilic acid) "only" attacks your stomach!

Mike Macdonald upset with garbage time yards

Yes, but it is way down the list. It would have to be rare for the tie-break to reach down that far. However, consistently not putting the foot down until 0.00 isn't great... but isn't it valuable to give back-ups some experience in some games, and to possibly rest/protect the incumbent QB, etc...

ALCS Mariners (90-72) vs Blue Jays (94-68) Oct 12-20, 2025

Commiserations to all Mariners fans. I was barracking for them, although I have never before even taken notice of MLB. But just so near and so far - it's absolutely gut wrenching for people who have been fans for their whole lives, in many cases. I watched a bit of the final game, but I don't...

    Fred Warner

Reminds me of Tim Krumrie, former Bengals' nose tackle, who suffered a severely broken leg during Super Bowl XXIII, where the Bengals played the San Francisco 49ers. I wish I could unsee that sickening vision, and I am not even going to look at Fred Warner's injury.

Your biggest moment in Seattle sports?

This is rather lengthy, but it is about the two Seahawks games I attended at the Kingdome in October 1996. I sent a daily email summary of my three weeks in the Seattle area to a friend in Adelaide, which he printed and mailed in batches to my wife, because we didn't have email/internet at home...

Are you boycotting the super bowl?

I've only missed about three SBs since 1985 (49ers sadly beat Dan Marino's Dolphins), so I am definitely watching. Furthermore, all have been with my friends Phil and Bronte. it begins mid morning Monday here; we delay watching it until about half-time, to cut through all the ads, and have a...
