    What if the unthinkable happens?

Sorry this is off-topic (well, it is symbolically positive!) - please, can someone tell me which thread I can find the image of the Seahawks cooking the Rams on the BBQ in. I want to send it to some people, and I can't find it!

    Crowd Predictions

Back in 2002, when my local Aussie rules club (Sturt) won the Premiership, after a 26 year drought, I arrived at work on the Monday, unable to speak at all. My boss insisted I was very ill, despite my croaky protestations that I was fine, and sent me home! Anyway, back to the point - I hope to...

Sue Bird first WNBA player to get a statue

The women's field hockey is also a game for delicate princesses... NOT!!! The Hockeyroos indeed won the Gold Medal match, 3-1 against Argentina. I especially recall they had a forward (Alyson Annan) who shot absolute *bullets*!

Sue Bird first WNBA player to get a statue

Sue Bird must have played alongside (Australian) Lauren Jackson, I think? Women play fully professional Australian Rules football and cricket now, and the Australian women's cricket teams* are all ruthless, natural-born killers! * There are three different formats of cricket now... :)

Rams @ Seahawks Jan. 25 at 3:30 PT

On the way from Melbourne to Vancouver BC in 2019, flying Cathay Pacific (not the greatest experience either) we changed planes in Hong Kong. Bought vastly expensive drinks at a bar, and there was %$#@ Patriots propaganda on the wall, including a photo of the Unmentionable Play. Then we waited...

How did that happen, may I ask!?

Dare To Tell: Earliest Members on .NET

When I visited Seattle in 1996, I then flew to Vegas to stay with a friend and his family. I'd met him on Echoes, the Pink Floyd mailing list. He barracked for the San Diego Chargers, and took me to a bar called Big Dogs at Sahara (I think that was the full name?), which was a Chargers bar. I...

I Guarantee We Will Beat The Rams

If brains were dynamite, Cam Newton still couldn't blow his own nose.

    Is this stat true?

I'm one of them! Clueless here... :)

    Purdy Tears on the Sideline

I feel *awful* for Josh Allen, and the Buffalo Bills. Can you {{{shudder}}} imagine losing FOUR consecutive Superbowls? I do sincerely hope they (and Detroit) win a SB eventually (of course not at our expense)!

    Nix out rest of playoffs

Horribly cruel luck for him, and for Denver, though. Imagine how we'd feel if it were Sam?

    NFC Championship Flag Raiser

They probably go to Pink Floyd concerts and infuriate everyone there, too. We were next to a veritable Beavis & Butthead in 1988, until my friend and coworker Tania tore strips off them. Good on you, Lon!

    NFC Championship Flag Raiser

OK, this one flew over my head (not uncommon!) - who is Sir Mix alot, please?! And could we have Ann Wilson belting out the national anthem again?

    Sam is all Man

Would it be a stretch to say that Sam Darnold is absolutely the "correct" QB for our team, as Jim McMahon was for the awesome 85-86 Bears? Anyway, I salute him, and the whole team (offense, DEfense and special teams), for today's performance. And how was the rev-up Doug Baldwin gave the crowd...

Not much to go on.. Sam hurt?

Yes, let's all listen to the Jethro Tull album "Living in the Past"

Not much to go on.. Sam hurt?

We used DMSO as a universal solvent in the (pharmacology) lab I worked in. It also replaced the use of (horribly dangerous) xylene as a clearing agent, in the multi-step process of preparing specimens for immunohistochemistry/microscopy.

Gonna be a long day for Carolina

Not sure what he's done now, but how can you forget that moment in a Superbowl (I think) when he decided it was simply too hard (un-quarterback-ish?) to dare to dive on a live ball.

    I’m not confident!!

Absolutely stoked here! I'll put my (broken) Seahawks car flag up atop of the young street tree (a crepe myrtle) out front of our house tomorrow, and post a photo. Despite the fact we didn't win by as much as the game stats would indicate, it still reinforces the 'simple' way to win an American...

Bobo named Captain of this upcoming game

OK, a naive question, please. On the eve of this ridiculously vital game at SF, with NFC#1 seed at stake, I'm asking a completely trivial question: Obviously the QB is the operative 'captain' of the offense, when in the field. But who (as chosen?) is the actual 'overall' team captain?

In SF for the Division Title and #1 Seed.

Please - anyone reading, is there anything wrong with my own tentative analysis for next week: *SEA - if beat SF, win division and NFC #1 seed* *SF - if beat SEA, win division and NFC #1 seed (win tiebreak over SEA on head-to-head sweep)* *RAMS - if lose to Arizona, will finish 3rd in...
