    Murphy, Marriage and the Lombardi

Need a little help here...age challenges my upload sometimes. Need it rephrased?

    Murphy, Marriage and the Lombardi

Of course not. What a man, his lady, and a lombardi trophy do behind closed doors is fully appropriate if everyone is consenting.

49% of play calls require OL, WR, TE, potentially a FB and the QB in addition to the RB to execute the play. Denver proved you can plug good backs into a talented, effective offensive scheme and keep running it at a high level. I’m not saying it won’t be a problem, but prefer seeing the...

The RB does not account for 42% of the offense...the offense accounts for 100% of the offense. RB's are 9% of the offensive scheme. Having a good one helps, but Barry Sanders showed even the best cannot make the team successful when the other parts are missing.

    Hershel Walker = Me3

Is this considered a double-negative? Not sure, but I don't think it conveys what you intended.

    Hershel Walker = Me3

The Walker trade setup the ‘boys for their historic run in the early 90’s. The Russ trade did the same for the hawks, but we’re in a stronger position b/c: JS > Jerry and MM is par or better than JJ and leagues above Switzer. Life is good as a hawks fan!

KJ’s been dogged unfairly about his pass catching abilities, but he’s not a premier all-around RB and that’s what separates the elite’s, their total production. He wasn’t worth to us what he was paid. You don’t overspend when you can get multiple guys with potential to fill that role for 1/2...

That’s less than 2 per year though out of what, 10-12 position groups? I think it says 1st round talent must be exceptional and you can find value in 2-7. Walker is very good, he’s not exceptional. We’ve gone from the lowest spend on O to ~top 10. That gonna go up with JSN and Darnold. RB...

Anthony Bradford & Drake Thomas earned performance bonus.

Agree! 80’s post gave me a chuckle, but Bradford’s tape is much better than most have been exposed to. He was an absolute BULL in the run game and improved in pass pro. They’ll always have competition in all positions , but Bradford might be harder to displace than many think.

We will win the Super Bowl again because…

I enjoy both threads. We cant cover everything individually…they give us a collective of opinions, some justified and others lame. I absorb the informed posts and move past the others (most of the time 🙂). A more active off-season thread. Keep the site alive all year long.

We will win the Super Bowl again because…

Our OL was top 50% in run blocking by the end of the season...possibly top-10 during the playoffs and SB. I think the point is you don't have to have an elite RB that makes plays on their own when the OL & scheme enable a capable RB. The OL is the 4th youngest in the NFL and those positions...

It’s a legit point that the Dline as a potential reason we decline next year, but probably not a significant decline. In 2 years it’s a major concern. Assuming DLaw plays 2026, the all of the sudden need to plan for Reed/DLaw/Cat all having 1-3 years left (likely). They can address it through...

    Barner Might Be…

I don’t mean this disrespectfully, if I was a chick, AJ’d be damn attractive. Fun personality, star athlete, good lookin dude, millionaire in his early 20’s, and skyrocketing potential. He’s got it goin’ on.

    Seahawks signing CB Noah Igbinoghene

Int’s are the most overrated personal stat for DB’s. Takeaways are a great team stat, but defensive schemes and int opportunities don’t always put players in positions to make those plays. Similar to sacks. How many people judged Murphy’s production his rookie year based on sacks. His...

    The day I broke News

Yep. The NFL is #1 for a reason. Their decentralized comms strategy is incredible in today’s world. I remember living back east in the 90 ‘s and had a subscription to the Seahawks magazine that went belly up after 1-2 publication. It was brutal to get info. Today, a few clicks away.
