    Always play to win

Baseball is also now ruined by analytics. The nerds say no more bunting and stealing, so we now get to watch half the lineup strike out 200 times a year swinging from their asses trying to hit home runs............and 28 pitches changes per game making our national pastime virtually unwatchable.

    Waldron to the Bears….

Good for Shane, Pete's hamstrung pretty much all of his coordinators. So here's to Waldron getting out from under Pete's thumb and being successful in Chicago.

    Always play to win

The greatest coaches of all time aren't just about the X's and O's, great motivators or developers of talent. They were masters at this discussion as well. Understanding nuanced intangibles like momentum, which is really what predicates successful gambles in sports. Knowing you have your...

    Always play to win

I agree you play to win, but IMO the nerd analytics movement has gone too far. Haley in LA, even this weekend with Bowles going for two and so many unsuccessful 4th downs in the offensive half of the field. I know fans love it, but this hiding behind analytics and just telling the press "the...

    Who luvs the trenches ?

Definitely the common thread of the remaining four teams, really good line play. Not a new trend, very hard to win consistently in the NFL with bad lines.

    Why no Harbaugh interview?!?!?

IMO playoff wins and SB's are a byproduct of things like culture, identity and team/coaching staff building. It's not something you just demand without the afore mentioned success building blocks. That's what Pete failed to re-create since our SB appearances. Again, as much as I think...

    Why no Harbaugh interview?!?!?

He has a better playoff record than any of the other coach's we're interviewing. So this probably isn't the best metric to use. Not sure what you guys are debating, no way in hell Schneider's hiring Harbaugh. He just got rid of a total control freak my way or the highway coach.

Miami TE Cam McCormick returns for 9th year

My favorite is the dudes from BYU and Utah. Announcer's like "Beckett Smith's in at right guard, he's back from his mission, 37 and expecting his first grandkid."

    Who don't you want?

At this point, only Quinn is on my don't want list. I'm open to most of the other candidates.

    Why no Harbaugh interview?!?!?

Not sure how far you guys want to drill down on Harbaugh, but this is a good read if you want to see who and how Harbaugh changed since 2021 to become the kind of coach that finally beat OSU, and finally won a National Championship...

    Mike Vrabel

Man you should have told Pete this. Next time, don't keep this stuff a secret.

    Why no Harbaugh interview?!?!?

If John's talking about a culture shift, I think he's probably talking about moving the culture needle back to a more button up disciplined culture, rather than more of the do whatever the hell you want and I'll defend you publicly Pete Carroll loose culture. Go to a Sean McVay or Kyle Shanahan...

    Mike Vrabel

I do think Vrabel's a good coach, and his players play their asses off for him. He always has tough disciplined teams. But he doesn't move the needle much in the innovation and scheme department. So if I was Schneider I'd want to know who his coordinators are before hiring him.

Offensive or defensive minded coach? (Poll)

It's an offensive league, and with seemingly every new rule change it only amplifies this fact. So for me? I'd like an offensive minded coach. Seems to be MUCH easier to replace your D-coordinator than to find a good to great offensive coordinator. I mean, no one knows this dynamic more than us.

    Why no Harbaugh interview?!?!?

I think the most important reason no Harbaugh interview is you know for a fact that wherever Harbaugh goes he will want complete control, much like Pete had here. And that's the polar opposite direction Jody and John are trying to move the team. They want more of a traditional hierarchy and...

Schneider to speak to media 11am PST today

Kinda hard to do this without a HC and staff yet. But the vision seemed clear, improve in all areas and create a team and culture that can once again compete for divisions and SB's. If you're asking for details, you're not going to get them on January 15th without even a head coach.

    People mad at DeBoer

I'm just fine with coaches leaving, it's what everyone does when it's a better job and/or with better pay. But don't give us the weepy we'll always be family, I love you guys like my own kids and all the other nonsense coaches like Deboer say on their way out the door to make themselves feel...

Schneider to speak to media 11am PST today

Yes, I guess I was being presumptive as many fans wanted Pete to stay. But you didn't answer my question, what did you want to hear John say to inspire confidence for you? All you said above is he was uncomfortable, so better body language? Seems the content of his words should be the most...
