    Was it too easy?

And I'll add that this penalty was incurred despite Woolen being told along with every other player in the league that they were going to crack down specifically on taunting and Woolen's own experience with being flagged for taunting twice this season before this incident.

    Restricted Free Agents

Drake Thomas is a must. He came up big time for us this season. The rest are so-so.

    A lot of “ifs"

Plus the big difference is that Chubb won't cost us any draft picks.

K9. Saddle up and pay or not?

I'm with ya about putting a ton of capital into the running back position. As our own history with running backs has taught us, ie Rashaad Penny, CJ Prosise, Zach Charbonnet, amongst others, the position is the most injury prone in the game. For the past 20 or so years, I've been against...

K9. Saddle up and pay or not?

Pay him. As was mentioned above, with Charbonnet suffering a major knee injury and that we don't have much draft capital in addition to the draft not being flush with RB's, we don't have a lot of options. Besides, he seems like a good guy to have in the locker room.

    A lot of “ifs"

I agree, although he's probably going to insist on going to a contender, which would rule out teams like the Titans and Jets. Plus, if I were him, I'd want to go to an organization that is stable, something he didn't have with the Raiders. With just 4 picks and at the bottom of the first...

    A lot of “ifs"

If Mac likes him, I'd much rather go with Chubb than sell the farm for Crosby.

    A lot of “ifs"

At this point, at least defensively, our priority has to be in the secondary with three starting quality players approaching free agency. Plus, if we're going to re-sign K9 and perhaps Shaheed, it's not going to leave a lot left over for Crosby, especially considering we're going to have to...

    First Sunday thoughts.

Although the Sonics moving amounted to the final straw, the NBA started losing me several years prior to their leaving. A lot of it was a generational thing, as the way they marketed their product, with all the rap and hip-hop music every time they went to a commercial break, was a big turnoff...

Whenever someone repeats the saying "life's not fair," losing my dad at an early age is the first thing I think of.

    First Sunday thoughts.

This thread should be stickied to the top of the page, imo. I was thinking about starting a thread in the Lounge so as not to divert this thread's topic, but I see that the forum no longer exists. I didn't really intend to discuss it, just that the question of what we were doing this weekend...

    First Sunday thoughts.

My heart goes out to you, @Ruminator. I lost my dad to lung cancer 2 days before his 60th birthday. To this day, I feel that I got cheated out of 20 years with my best friend. As the saying goes, life's not fair. Your comment about not imaging a scenario how you and your brother wouldn't...

Thank you for your thoughts and well wishes @seabowl. We've been told by several doctors that kidney cancer is very treatable. I've also heard nothing but good comments about UW Medical and Fred Hutchinson, including from my own PCP who happens to be a personal friend in addition to my doctor...

4 year extension (M. Dickson) *JK

Best punter we've ever had. One of the things that was overlooked in the Super Bowl was the punt he nailed inside the NE 5 at just the right time in the 4th quarter. The man came up big time.

Thanks @pmedic920. It's large enough that they won't do it here in the Tri Cites and have passed us off to UW Medical Center and Fred Hutchinson in Seattle. There's a 76% 5-year survival probability, so we're optimistic. We've been waiting for over a week for them to call with a date for the...
