Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

I get it but let him be disgruntled. He has to play well on a one year deal or else his bargaining power goes down. So every time a player that is disgruntled, you have to let them go? The window was open now folks, securing one of the top three players on offense last year just for one year...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

And that’s why I was saying only to franchise him for one year, not necessarily sign him into a long-term contract. People keep commenting about signing him to a long-term contract, but that is not what I suggested at all in any of these posts on this thread. As I also stated previously, I don’t...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

So a healthy Charbs and K9 going into the 2025 season is worse than Charbs coming off of an ACL tear and not even being able to play the beginning of the 2026 season and a rookie in Price being a better situation? I’m sorry, but I don’t see any way, shape, or form on how you can see the 2026...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

Actually, running backs are one of the worst values on the rookie deal if picked high since most typically do not get paid very high later on. You’d much rather spend that first round pick on a highly compensated position. Sea Russell Wilson for a very good example.

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

Sure, you can get them anywhere, but you also have no idea what you’re getting in them. Remember Christine Michael? Rashaad Penny? CJ Procise? Etc.. Aliso if you can get them anywhere, then why does he keep using high draft picks to select them? Within the last number of years he has used two...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

I think many of you are missing the point. It’s not about re-signing him to a long-term deal. It was about franchising him for one year. We all know how he did the last half of the season last year and I think part of it was because he knew he was playing for a contract. Well, why not run it...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

What huge distraction would he have been on a franchise tag? There’s a window right now of opportunity and probably your second best producing play on offense last year and the key player that helped win the SB is on another team and you are filling that with a rookie. I’m not saying that Price...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

What would be different is you’d have a proven running back going into the season after winning the Super Bowl. I don’t think there’s any way the Seahawks would’ve made it to the Super Bowl without Walker last year. On top of that, you could use that first round pick on something other than a...

Is it me or why didn’t they just franchise Walker?

I get that he would’ve cost $14 million but for one year, coming off of a Super Bowl, in my opinion they should’ve just gone that route. They had to spend their first round pick on a running back that nobody is really sure what he is going to do. Would rather have had the sure thing in Walker at...

    Draft a RB? Why?

If you don’t know why they drafted the running back, you haven’t looked at their current running back roster

    36 years ago today….

Just to add to my original post, the draft during those years was held at the Marriott Marquis in New York City. Back then they only let in around I would say 500–700 people total. The fans like myself sat in the balcony a floor above the team reps overlooking them. That year I was sitting...

2026 DRAFT PICK #32: RB Jadarian Price

Anyone thinking that the Seahawks could’ve gone into the season with their current stable of running backs or could’ve waited to the end of the second round to hopefully get a running back they wiped who is still available. I think it’s out of their mind. The running backs in the draft are not...
