The Athletic: How the $445 million Mets crashed and burned

Rangers spent money and won a World Series. Some of it is timing. The Mariners seemingly have enough homegrown talent that a couple of key signings could send them to the WS.

PFF Player Rankings Ahead of Week 14

Thanks for putting this together. Coaching aside, the talent level on defense is poor. Our linebackers, safeties and defensive line are below average.

    This defense is unacceptable

Very few players on this defense that shouldn’t be shown the door after the season.

I think the question is, will Dallas drop 50 on us? Some of the most embarrassing losses of PC’s NFL career this season.

Brutal But Accurate Analysis By Seahawks Draft Blog

Yeah this is accurate. Too many body catching or body dropping and he doesn’t go up and take the ball at the high point. He gets caught waiting for the ball and it gets contested or knocked away.

    Fade was right

Yeah I get it. Still, how many coaches have done it with one team or even two. Parcells is the only one I can think of. The point is these hot coordinator hires are a roll of the dice. So it’s a hot coordinator, a college coach (most of these are disasters unless they have previous NFL...

    Fade was right

It’s not a fear it’s just the reality of the NFL. All I’m really saying is you better have a guy or two you really like if you’re going to fire PC. To fire PC and then search for a coach would be problematic. And to say PC would not take us to another SB is a pretty easy bet to make. Most...

    Fade was right

Show me a Super Bowl winning coach who didn’t have good luck along the way. I would love it if we found the next Sean McVay. But we are more likely to find the next Brandon Staley.

Jettisoning Pete when he doesn't have a QB1?

I think we can find the guy in the first round with our pick. There’s some good QB’s available this year.

Jettisoning Pete when he doesn't have a QB1?

Things would look so much different with the right QB. Are you going to win every game, no. They make the defense better by getting more rest and they put you in position to win every game. If we had a top 5 QB this year we’re sitting at 8-3 instead of 6-5.

Jettisoning Pete when he doesn't have a QB1?

To me NFL coaching is overrated. The most important thing is securing that QB. A good QB should flourish with the offensive pieces we have in place. I expect us to draft a QB this year.

Jettisoning Pete when he doesn't have a QB1?

Everything the Seahawks do from here on out should be towards acquiring a franchise QB. We will not win anything until that guy is in the building.

    I'm devastated

It is so hard to be consistently good in the NFL without a difference maker at QB. Everything the Seahawks do right now should be towards getting that guy.

Pete needs to look himself in the mirror.

What good is going to come from calling him out to the media right after the game?

    Charbonnet RB1?

ZC seems to have a developing stiff arm. It’ll be exciting if they’re both fairly fresh and healthy late in the season. I see no reason to worry about which one is better. We drafted some real clunkers at RB over the years. It looks like both of these guys are legit and have good heads.

    Redzone Offensive Woes

Missed assignments in the run game are killers at the goal line. The penetration leads to sideways running KW3.
