Bevell Rehashing the Worst Call in NFL History

I was so excited to see AC enter the game after C-Mike was getting us down the field and needed a breather. I was hoping/expecting to see play-action, where AC could demonstrate his pass protection skills, or maybe slip out into the flat to receive. didn't happen. surely expected it the...

    Those two runs by Collins

disagree with both. CJ and AC are the two youngest players on the team at 22, and both have skills that will eventually produce IMO. I agree he couldn't come in as the 4th string RB and save the day on two straight bad play calls, on a day the starting backfield was injured, doesn't mean he's...

    Those two runs by Collins

agree big time agree disagree. It would have made no difference. The Rams were waiting for the run after CM's two straight good runs. AC had to fight just to get back to the LOS. For what little he played, he did well on pass protection, and he didn't fumble, so I guess that's something...

Collins - CMike - Prosise | RB preseason compilation

TH,you have not been completely wrong in your analysis of AC's attributes and tendencies, but I do believe your final conclusion will ultimately prove to be quite wrong, I believe there is a very good chance we are indeed looking at "The Next Great Seattle RB". AC has good quickness and...

Collins - CMike - Prosise | RB preseason compilation

statements like this reveal your anti AC bias kearly, he never looked "utterly inept" in any facet of the game, his YAC on the last 3 balls thrown to him certainly wasn't. and again, bias, I could spin this to say he got 5 good running opportunities and produced each time. I could spin...

    Rawls

Collins looked 100% or near 100% on the few carries he got the last two games. He'll be able to contribute if called upon, and wouldn't be surprised to see him get carries, even if just late in a blowout.

    Pope cut

appreciate them very much. If/when a 100% AC and CJ get opportunities this year, I think this statement will really ring true.

    Pope cut

He absolutely should be active, up on the game plan and ready to get in the game and work if need be. This is the NFL, anything can happen. It is factual to say Rawls averages an injury every 13 games in a Seahawk uniform, the next one might be 40 games away, or 2 quarters away, he had 2...

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

Others on here mentioned it, and those first two games he did seem slower than normal to me, so I figured it was likely true, it just may not have been severe enough to be officially listed.

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

tough call, but the right one. reinforces my opinion that AC made a really strong case the first two weeks in camp, when he was the only healthy back, going against the 1st team defense. Things we never saw, but few seem to remember the initial buzz it created, the comments of those who DID...

    Alex Collins

are you saying you think that play was designed to go left? Looks like everyone is blocking right to me, if he takes that as fast as he can, to where it looks like the play is designed to go, looks like he'd run into the line for maybe two yards. It looks like he recognises that, and the...

    Alex Collins

You are the man HawkNation! thanks for putting those gifs in the thread. I know I may be irrationally pro AC, but I have felt others may be irrationally anti AC. Glad to see others agreeing with a lot of the assessments I've also made, with the videos to back it up. Yes, completely agree...

    CJ Procise thoughts

forgetting where everyone was drafted and how long they've been here, just going off what they've shown in preseason, AND considering the situations and opportunities they were given, I felt Pope and AC were the most impressive, followed closely by C-mike, then Rawl's 1 carry, then CJ. that's...

    CJ Procise thoughts

It's hard to interpret why the RBs were used in preseason the way they were. Was CJ in the game ahead of AC, put in better situations, because he's considered ahead of AC?, or because they needed to evaluate him harder? had more questions? It's understood he'll very likely make the cut...

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

true, I should have just said "good move" that's what I meant, saw plenty of good moves out of CJ, AC and Pope.

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

maybe I'll eventually see C-mike make a good open field move, until then, my opinion is just that. every good run he had, the first teamers blew open a big hole hole he'd run through and then fall down for 10 yards. (I think both AC and Pope would've gone for 20+ on those plays) I'm just not...

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

Because they want Collins to be a "power back" I think a 1/3 of his carries this preseason were in 3rd/4th and short, where there was major penetration and he had no chance, that killed his average.

    Poll: Collins or Pope?

It won't be popular, but I'd keep them both and cut C-Mike. both look to be better natural runners to me. Having said that, every back was facing some pretty serious penetration at some point, not just tonight but all preseason. All preseason, I think C-Mike got the best opportunties (field...
