    Not been on this thread for a while, I mean would you after the run Palace have been on! That all changed Sunday though, great win and an FA Cup final! Better times ahead I hope. Also in an unrelated thing, pleased the 96 got some justice today and I hope the authorities get there just deserts.

    I kinda disagree about McLaren, I think he is a top class coach, many have said that but I don't think he's a good manager. If you remember he had what was the golden generation of English football and he couldn't even get them qualified for the Euros. As for Palace they are playing some good...

    Went to Palace today, have to say Newcastle are a dire team, the players play like they don't want to be there, no stomach for a fight at all. As it stands I think they and Villa are doomed.

    Good start for Palace, rode there luck a little and got lucky with the disallowed goal but will happily take the points! Any chance Arsenal can play that poorly again next Sunday? I doubt it.

    Totally agree that 2nd goal was fractionally offside and 3rd was a free kick not a penalty, unfortunately, not much we can do about some of the refereeing decisions. As for Steve Gerrard, I think he is my favourite England player since Gazza and in his time he has carried Liverpool on his back.

    I think players lose there way after they get huge money in there pocket, for example, Zeki Fryers played a handful of games for Spurs and was highly rated. He was sold to Palace and on the day he signed for Palace he turns up driving a baby Bentley! This is a guy who has done nothing earns...

    There is a real lack of young English talent, they always do well for England U17/19 but then lose there way. One of the big problems for me is that even the academies are over run by overseas players. For a fact I can tell you that in an U18 game Palace v Arsenal, Arsenal didn't have one...

    What surprised me most about there performance yesterday was the lack of fight. There seemed huge negativity amongst the players. I thought Palace played great first half, great pace and power, 2nd half they strolled around as the game was won by half time.

    Fantastic effort from Palace today, did we deserve a point? Maybe not, but play like that and we will be fine. My only gripe about the game would be the penalty decision, looked outside the box to me, apart from that its all good.

    I genuinely don't see why the Palace result is a surprise, both teams rested a few and Palace come out on top, No biggie in my opinion.
