    Surprise surprise... Sounders should give the USOC no focus going forward. Yes it was important to win a few trophies early on - but in fairness the club should be focused on bigger things right now. Do what United did in the Carling Cup - field the 2nd team/go out in the first round.

    No Actually - its not all. USSF could have followed correct protocol and banned Dempsey for USOC and International matches but they didn't. Actually the precedent was USOC matches only. I love me some USMT but I support the Sounders week in week out and this blows.

    I guess US Soccer and MLS bans would be separate. USSF would be for USOC and USMT. MLS would ban at their discretion. Any USSF ban puts him out of Gold Cup - which could be good for the Sounders if MLS doesn't follow suit.
