QB countdown w/Russ ESPN coming up

These rankings are stupid... I think the tier method is much better, because there are too many factors to stack players against one-another: Tier 1 (Future HOFers, play the game at the highest level year after year): Brady, Rodgers, P. Manning, Brees Historical: Montana, Bradshaw, Marino...

    Irvin to OLBer

What's the percentage that you guys run a 'base personal'? The Niners technically run a 3-4 but we run a 2-4-5 the most (in terms of percent of plays). I think this whole story is semantics... They'll use Irvin as a rush linebacker, whether there's a 3 or 4 man front. He does have the speed...

Relative History Of SEA and SFO Since Realignment

Essentially, there's only been 1 game where all the chips were down. You could get a Niner fan or 2 that says missing Justin Smith was pivotal, but overall, this league is determined from QB play and Coaching.

49ers Seahawks 2013: Gateway to the Super Bowl

Nice Vid! only problem is we still have like 2 months

Would it be too cocky when looking at Seahawks schedule

It does happen, not common but repeated home/away games vs. one opponent is possible... (for instance, we played 3 consecutive games in GB until the playoff game in the playoffs) 1) The divisions play each other every 3rd year, so the Hawks automatically play the Bears at least once every 3...

Hopefully I get My 9ers Tickets Bought Today

Question: I've heard that you guys are going for the decibel record... Where do they measure the noise level from? Because it can change dramatically due to geometry and acoustics? And where do you think the loudest part of the stadium is?

Relative History Of SEA and SFO Since Realignment

As several posters have said, the past (other than last years' game in SEA) are pretty meaningless. Now that both teams have established coaches and QBs, pertinent history between the two teams begins now... SEA 1 SF 0 Week 2 can't come any sooner.

Would it be too cocky when looking at Seahawks schedule

I agree that the Seahawks should win the first 2 games, but I wouldn't underestimate the Panthers. Yes, they lost a lot last year, but they're only getting better and last year, they lost a lot of close games: @ Bucs - lost by 6 @ Falcons - lost by 2 Seahawks - lost by 4 Cowboys - lost by 5 @...

Would it be too cocky when looking at Seahawks schedule

I expect the Hawks to win between 10-12 games, depending on their brutal 10am away games... I fully expect the Seahawks to go 8-0 at home (including winning against the 49ers in week 2). As for the road schedule... @ Panthers 10am, @ Texans 10am, @ Colts 10am, @ Cardinals TNF, @ Rams MNF, @...

Matthew Stafford gets 3-year $53 million extension

Going from AJ Green to Megatron... and getting paid along the way... tough life. This contract does present an interesting baseline for both the Seahawks and Niners. I think both teams will look to get extensions as soon as possible.

    Another QB rankings list

The only thing I can think is that the writer assumes that both Wilson and Kaep will regress :| I mean, Phillip Rivers? I thought I was high on him, even after a few bad years, but DAMN! And at this point having Luck / RGIII anywhere other than right next to Wilson / Kaep just means they...

Really the worst call in nfl history?

Technically, the call was correct. If the refs didn't throw a flag for offensive pass interference, then PI cannot be called retroactively. So the refs had to base the call (review) without PI, and in that case, both players go up with it and come down with it. It's just a tough call period...

Relative History Of SEA and SFO Since Realignment

So Trent Dilfer loses regardless of which team he plays for :D ... Pretty much all that data boils down to... Hasselbeck was better than any other QB in the division.

    Rams stadium update

Plus, the LA Rams have a ton of history... It'll either be them or Jax. And if it's Jax, the conferences would have to be blown up

    What If?

2012 Week 1: 7 catches, 76 yds, 0 TDs (Alex Smith) 2013 Divisional Round: 9 catches, 119 yds, 2 TDs (Colin Kaepernick) The story line with Crabtree will definitely be a big one... But Vernon was really a non-factor until the NFCCG with Kaep. Plus the addition of Anquan will alleviate some of...

    What If?

You may be right about the Cardinals, but I think you're not giving the Rams enough credit. Still, the road games... SEA: @ Panthers 10am, @ Texans 10am, @ Colts 10am, @ Cardinals TNF, @ Rams MNF, @ Falcons 10am, @ Niners 1pm, @ NYG 10am There really isn't any gimmes there. The easiest...

    What If?

I think a lot of people are underestimating the Panthers... Do I think they're a playoff team, no. But it wouldn't surprise me if SEA lost (tough road opener environment). Week 1 & 2: I think the most likely scenario is the SEA win both @ Carolina and vs. the 49ers... They start 2-0. The...

SF Fans can shut up about our teams problems now

Not what I was hoping for... :| ... I guess our Lemonier pick becomes significantly more important now. Smashing a beer bottle over a teammates head that's trying to stop you from drunk driving is really f*cking low.

    For Ninerbuff... You're just wrong.

I guess that's fair, I don't like the Steelers either, but I really don't like any other team. I'm more indifferent to them compared to the Giants / Cowboys / Seahawks / Packers.
