Ten most valuable players in the NFC West

    1. Russ 2. Kap 3. Justin Smith 4. Brandon Mebane 5. Calais Campbell 6. Justin Long 7. James Laurinaitis 8. Okung 9. Staley 10. Earl Thomas The NFC West teams are built through their lines and front seven, and my list reflected that. As important as Lynch and Gore are, I don't think they're the...

QB countdown w/Russ ESPN coming up

Add another one that wouldn't trade Wilson for Luck. Their careers will be the separators, but I'm completely fine saying it right now. Luckily for Luck, he has every chance to be as good as Wilson. ;)

    Let's Talk Mariners

I love the Mariners and am disgusted with ownership. It's not impossible to separate the two. Since ownership is completely happy sitting back and owning the team whether they win or lose, boycotting or not going to a game won't make a difference. So that's futile. But mocking them, criticizing...

Why is everyone sleeping on Jordan Hill?

I disagree a little bit. Most all of us have seen the Wisconsin game where he clearly dominated a very good o-line. You might be selling him a little short by calling him a 'barely get there player.' I will say this, I think Hill is exceptional in a few areas - get off, refinement of pass rush...

    Irvin to OLBer

The Seahawks aren't exactly inventing the wheel with this move either. The Giants did it with Mathias Kiwanuka, as just one example. Moving a DE to LB is all about scheme fit and getting your best players on the field. My opinion part of this is that I'd definitely rather maximize Irvin's reps...

    Seahawks RB Corps ranked #2

I've always thought Shaun had the superior vision, especially with the cutback. He use to shred defenses going against the grain. Lynch is a downhill runner but he also has the patience to let the holes in the zone blocking develop. Lynch style could probably be effective in most any system.

    Percy Harvin vs. Cordarrelle Patterson

Patterson comes with the cheaper contract, which is true, but my understanding is he's fairly raw coming out of Tennessee. A one productive season and done with college sort of thing. So while Patterson may eventually be a tremendous WR, you're also putting in the time and effort to get to the...

Highlight vid of an underrated Seahawk

Great open field tackler and one of my favorite LBs. I'll be interested to see how his role evolves this year. It sounds like the coaches are working on ways to keep him on the field.

here's a thread that will make you happy.

What was illegal about it? Is it the 'see what you hit' factor? Is it Tate's job to make sure that Lee looks where he's going? Terrible play by Lee and he suffered as a result. Like I said, the league can justify any decision when they have enough rules to pick and choose what they enforce...

    Great Read on Bruce Irvin

The pass rush ability is there. I don't worry about that aspect of his game. He'll get to the QB and make other teams pay. Most organizations would take just that out of their 1st round pick. But if Irvin manages to improve at the point of attack and setting the edge he could be an outstanding...

    Reputation

It's the offseason. People are desperate for something to talk about, so I don't let it bother me. Other teams and players will get popped, TCs will get going, and the story will get put away for more meaningful discussion.

here's a thread that will make you happy.

As a football player these are the hits you dream about. I can't figure out where people would get the idea that a shoulder to chest hit is illegal, no matter how hard it was. My only guess is that good ol' Rog has laid down so many rules and idiocy that almost any hit could be argued to be bad.

Jeff Chadiha article on Wilson (ESPN)

As far as Wilson having to prove more that the other young QBs I'm skeptical of that. Is there anyone with more well-rounded skillset? An argument could be made for Griffin, but if you think staying healthy is something more than pure chance then Wilson definitely has the advantage in that...

    Brandon "The Bully" Browner

I don't know if there is a football player I've ever liked more than Browner. He's everything you want in a defender, let alone a corner. He's just dreaming of what we all are. The chance to shut Harbaugh up.

Three things on offense/defense you want to see improved

Offense 1. I'd like to see more explosive plays in the running game. I love the grind it out mentality, but a few more long runs will make us that much more dangerous. Hopefully Harvin and Michael will be game breakers for us on the ground. 2. Miller being a factor early in the year. Some of...

KJ making plays at OTA and getting snaps at Weak side

I just see this as a way to get the 11 best guys on the field. Giving Irvin and Avril some reps at SAM seems to be in the team's plan, and while I have no problem with Smith and Morgan, Wright is the better LB. Also as just an added thought, later on we may see a more traditional 3-4 alignment...

    Avril hurt

I won't be worried unless he's not ready for training camp. These OTAs are always extra cautious. From everything I've seen and heard of Avril I really like him. He's at the camp, picking up what he can, and I expect him to be ready when he's cleared.

Do We Officially Ride the Cheater Label in 2013?

I'd like to win with some class and a few suspensions isn't going to destroy that. With leaders like Wilson and Red we'll be okay. I just want the adderall issues to be dealt with by the coaching staff. Maybe more than a stern talking to, but handled internally.

    Bruce Irvin suspended

I'm disappointed in the team as well as Irvin. It's highly discouraging as a fan that the organization can't at least keep up appearances. But for Irvin this is even a bigger bonehead move. He was already on the edge of being shuffled down the roster at the LEO position, and now he gives Avril...

    NBA returning to Seattle?

Great guy and without Allen the Seahawks probably aren't here either. Love ya Paul.
