The Hawks should trade for Martellus Bennett

I love this idea too, if he is a very good or great inline blocker. This would allow Graham to escape his miscasting imprisonment as a tight end, and liberate him to dominate at wide receiver on potentially every down. Deploying Jimmy out wide almost forces defenses to double him, else suffer...

WR Terrelle Pryor to work out for Seahawks

Graham is, or should be, our number one receiver. It looks as if we will use him as a poor blocker instead.

Those Packers' pass plays from SNF? May be as illegal as the

Basketball players know a lot about pick plays. This is still another reason to deploy Graham with Chris Matthews on the same play. Make Chicago defend simultaneously two tall receivers running pick plays.

Is Jimmy Graham already getting restless?

I don't think that will happen until Nowak becomes a good blocker in the run game. What do you suggest we do until then?

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Do this, plus deploy Graham wide on the other side, forcing the opposition to deploy both pairs of their sort of tall defenders to defend two tall receivers at the exact same time, so that we win.

Sorry... Another Jimmy thread. Honest question, help.

Russell works for the coaching chain which works for Pete who needs to order the chain to solve this. Matthews would help Graham by absorbing some of the tall defenders.

Did we really just throw the ball to Graham 1 time tonight?

Bevell did not trade for Graham. Schneider and Carroll did. Plugging Graham into last year's offense is a recipe for mediocrity. We should shoot for the stars with the present receiving talent.

Sorry... Another Jimmy thread. Honest question, help.

    1. Russ took Jimmy and the other receivers to Hawaii to develop chemistry, and both reported success. 2. Jimmy bird-dogged Russ before that to develop chemistry, and both reported success. 3. The coaching chain from Pete thru Bevell down to Russ did not observe this chemistry, and have not...

    Avalanche of humanity...

How many antagonisms against star or star potential players does Bevell have? 1. Lynch 2. Graham 3. Chris Matthews 4. ???

Is Jimmy Graham already getting restless?

I agree with both the thread title and the question. I saw Graham yelling at Russell in the Rams game. This is what happened to Practice chemistry under Rams game stress. I saw no yelling last night, but I did see body language of depression in Jimmy. His supreme talent is being wasted so...

Issues with both of our coordinators. Chime in please.

Twisted, I agree. Good post. The light at the end of the tunnel is that superior athletes have higher upsides, so our OL will come together, inevitably. By my visual impression they were significantly better this week than last. I think they turn it around starting this week.

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Doug Baldwin attends practice, and has reported what he has seen Matthews do in practice all last year. “I’m not surprised. He’d shown the ability to do that all season. He just never got the opportunities,” said teammate Doug Baldwin, the Seahawks’ No. 1 receiver heading into this offseason...

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Ducati, I partially agree, but the part that disagrees is based on Baldwin's quotation in my long post above.

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Laloosh, I take your point regarding Ricardo Lockette, and was actually thinking that Kasen Williams would make a monster third tall WR in place of Ricardo. Only an inch shorter but a great leaper, and outstanding competitor for high balls. I was just being a little lazy in not suggesting the...

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

This is false. He caught exactly one pass for nine yards against Browner in the Superbowl. Here is some evidence: http://blog.thenewstribune.com/seahawks ... r-in-2015/ Here is a partial quote from the article: Wilson had completed just one pass through the first 25 minutes against New...

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Matthews just his shoulder covering a kick in preseason. Maybe he can not use it to reach or fight for a high ball yet. I don't recall the coaches informing us about this.

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

He played against the Rams and caught the one pass thrown to him. Rebounder's can catch balls thrown high forcing high jumps to catch the ball. I have written here about my concept of VERTICAL separation, which is independent of the normal horizontal separation.

Chris Matthews needs to see some game time

Matthews caught the one pass thrown to him, for a one hundred percent rate, which I consider good. The coaches kept him from being thrown to ask last season and playoffs until the Superbowl.

WR Terrelle Pryor to work out for Seahawks

Bevell has not yet shown that he knows how to use tall receivers, so Pryor would be wasted here. Maybe he shrunk, but I recall him being six five, 238, running a 4.33 forty. He ran the longest touchdown in history for quarterbacks, so he has huge YAC potential. But I expect his routes are...
