We really cleaned up that run defense!

The bright side: Our running backs get so much confidence practicing against the Seahawks run defense.

    Bears vs Packers

And on the other screen, our game, I'm not seeing a lot of evidence that Seattle is better than AZ

    Bears vs Packers

Watching both games split-screen. Packers are just so obviously the better team than the bears. We'll need some lucky bounces for the bears to win.

    Why is woolen in there?

My theory about his name change is that it was a response to losing rookie of the year to Sauce Gardner. Gardner is good, but at least part of the reason he won is that his name is Sauce. It's memorable, sort of funny, sort of cool, etc... So, had to do something with his name. "Riq," it is!

    Head vs Heart

I am not capable of watching the Seahawks and rooting for a loss. Even in preseason when wins don't matter or necessarily mean anything, there's an emotional force that makes me want them to win. Same thing today, my feelings want a win, and my feelings want the Packers to lose so the Seahawks...

Lack of discipline is the story of the season

I don't think the coaching staff demands much of the players. They come to practice to have fun and enjoy the bumpin' playlist.

    Go Vikings.....

Ahhh yes... The sad part of a bad season when we root for even worse teams to pull off improbable victories. I predicted a few years ago that the Seahawks were steadily becoming the Mariners. We may have arrived. Welcome to Mediocrity Town!

We’ve just been outplayed, simple as that

    Crowd sure sounds happy though

    I'm still gonna have hope...

Hope is a cruel bastard. Expect defeat and sadness, then possibly get pleasantly surprised.

    We have no answers

It occurred to me when you said this that the Steelers, even when they're not having a great season, pride themselves on tough "hard nosed" football. This makes the Steelers a tougher match-up for the Seahawks than I had anticipated.

    We have no answers

Oh wait, I just noticed something... It's not the 4th quarter yet! None of this counts!

    Tackling

Horrible. They need to re-watch the employee orientation video to be reminded what they were hired to do.

    Short

Yeah, probably better not to let crappy Steelers march it up the field...

    Tackling

It's worse than bad. They actually help players gain more yards.

    Stealers fan don't travel well

Yeah, plus giant military presence with JBLM and Whidbey/Bremerton means lots of people from elsewhere always nearby.

    Punched in face (k9)

He smacked the guy in the face with the ball and got smacked back. Good no call.

    This defense....

Well, they're on the right track. -2 drives ago, they allowed Pittsburgh to score 7 -Last drive, only 3 -Based on my calculations and advanced pattern recognition, the Steelers will score 0 on the next drive, -3 on the next and -7 after that.
