    Knit cap question

Those caps have been out since early in the season. The have sold really fast. A friend of mine in the sports apparel industry told me that he received 25 from New Era and they all sold really fast, he then ordered another 100 and sold them in a week. I told him I had seen them on ebay for...

NFL ref announced for NFCCG!! **update pg 2 entire crew **

Remember...... the referee is responsible for reporting the penalties, he is not necessarily the one throwing the flag. Also, these are mixed crews, so his crew called ten penalties on Seattle vs. the Rams, there is no guarantee that the flag throwers will even be at the game. One final...

Worst draft pickr of all time?

With Bosworth, every team would have taken him if they would have had the supplemental pick that Seattle had. Sort of the same with Curry, all the "experts" had him labeled as a can't miss pick. I would go with Dan McGwire, Lamar King or James Carpenter. These guys were looked at as reaches...

Hawks done dealing with Carey until at least next year

At least it won't be Winter's entire crew, with the "all-star" crew concept for the playoffs. It is always the referee that we remember since they are the ones reporting the penalties, but the referee is not necessarily the weak link to the crew. According to footballzebras.com, it it Terry...

    Blakeman's crew to officiate Seahawks-49ers

So, 1-1 last year means 0-3 since 2008. If memory serves me, we had two 7-9 seasons, a 4-12 and a 5-11 season since 2008. I would guess our record with any crew is not that great during that span.

Things we may see from here on out on defense

Have watched them a couple of times this year...... I guess 5-6 guys rushing the QB isn't blitzing anymore?????? Their DC is Rob Ryan who is know to blitz Anyway, doesn't matter, blitzing is one way of limiting time a QB has to throw, and covering for weakness in the secondary, & the Saints...

Things we may see from here on out on defense

My thoughts exactly as I was typing the original post, just assuring myself that the defense will be fine, & something different from suspension posts!

Things we may see from here on out on defense

Using the Saints as an example, their DB's are pretty average, but they blitz a lot, creating opportunities for their secondary. Don't think we'll see it consistently, but may see more.

Things we may see from here on out on defense

    1. more blitzing from the front seven. There is definitely enough talent up front to bring some pressure. Brees, Manning, Clemens, Palmer are not big run threats. Kaep needs a spy, but the 'Hawks have show over the last year + they know how to contain him. 2. ET may play the slot depending...

    Walter Thurmond substance abuse suspension

The only timing issue is WT3 dropped his appeal this week. Probably so he can be back for the playoffs. The team has probably been waiting to hear on the appeal for awhile, with this week being the week they would drop the appeal if they had not heard anything.

    Walter Thurmond substance abuse suspension

Chances are they have know about this for a long while. The appeal process takes quite a bit of time. Hell, the positive test may have come during the pre-season. I am sure the team knew all about this for some time now. To be suspended for substance abuse, you are not a first time...

No PI at end of NE / Car game??

I have no problem with it not being a penalty, but if so, do not throw a flag. Officials have to throw flags on what they see, not what they think they see. If they aren't sure, they shouldnt throw a flag

No PI at end of NE / Car game??

If the Seahawks weren't playing so well, I don't know if I could watch this BS. Every week, nearly every game there are blatantly bad calls. The referee huddles should not be allowed or at least held to a minimum, today they huddle after every "guess" by an official.

    Run defense

Um, Kellen Clemens and Mike Glennon aren't going to make anyone forget Peyton Manning or Tom Brady, and those two teams had their way with us running the ball & neither of those teams have a back even close to AP.

    Browner's injury, why no news?

I had torn mine, it took probably 3-4 months to be able to run at close to full speed. It gave me problems for the next two years. I know training and re-hab is much better than it was in 1987, but I would not be surprised it he was done for the rest of the year. I could jog with moderate...

The only power ranking that matters is the one after the superb owl

The Panthers Will Make A Push

Hopefully they can knock off the 49ers, then just miss the playoffs. Newton is a very scary match up, especially in a loser out situation.

How do we fix the run defense?

Its completely assignment related, which has been sloppy IMO. Also add in not having much of a lead, if any, allows teams to keep their entire playbook open. The Tampa game could have gotten ugly early had Seattle went down and got 7 instead of an int on the first possession. Look at the...

    Remember the pre-season rumor

It wasn't one of the players speaking to reporters, it was pure speculation from an "insider", and was reported on this board during TC. Everyone assumed it was Red or Mebane. My observation is that Lynch's body language on the sideline etc. says he may be feeling slighted. Also remember...
