    Jaguars sign Red Bryant

This. I was still holding out hope we would bring him back at a lower price. Ah...well. Best of luck to Red.

    Golden Tate

SMH. We pass out of four wide more than we do out of two wide, and we'll be passing out of that set even more if the defense slows down at all. And even haven't even got into the argument that the reason we didn't run a spread more often was because we just didn't have the talent to after Rice...

Report: No franchise tag for Hauschka

I think you're missing my larger point, or I'm poorly communicating it. Hauschka isn't elite at kickoffs. He's average to slightly above average. He has good accuracy, but not elite, as there are many kickers who put up similar numbers. He might be a top five kicker. But the drop in production...

Report: No franchise tag for Hauschka

What about him IS elite? His FG numbers? As illustrated above...no. His kick off numbers? Not there either. He's middle-ish of the pack. And when 15 of the top 20 kickers in the NFL (in terms of accuracy) play in outdoor stadiums, you have to begin to question how much of a detriment the...

Report: No franchise tag for Hauschka

Not terribly, no. As a kicker we saw his numbers were good, but not incredible. As a kickoff specialist, his numbers look good...if you omit punters that also handle kickoff duties. When you factor those guys in he looks a lot more average. The fact that he can do both is nice, but he isn't...

Report: No franchise tag for Hauschka

Heh. Well. Omitting Prater: Shaun Suisham 30-32 Dan Bailey 20-21 Greg Zuerlein 25-26 Stephen Gostkowski 33-34 Justin Tucker 32-34 Josh Scobee 19-20 Nick Novak 32-34 Dan Carpenter 29-30 Mason Crosby 27-29 Phil Dawson 28-30 Matt Bryant 23-24 Adam Vinatieri 31-34 Blair Walsh 24-25 It's also worth...

Report: No franchise tag for Hauschka

Meh. He was 30-32 on kicks 20-50 yards out. Pretty good. But you can find, and I'm not exaggerating, at least 15 kickers with similar numbers. If Hauschka can be signed for $1.5M or so, bring him back. If he's looking for top 5 kicker money, let him walk.

Bill Belichick predicted Hawks by 20+ pts in SB

As large as an ego as Billy Belly has I have an exceedingly hard time imagining any scenario when he would admit to himself (much less an outsider) that he couldn't find a way to beat anyone, or at least make it close, no matter the disparity in talent.

Jimmy Graham to seattle? ESPN believes it is possible...

Teams are free to negotiate lower compensation if they desire. It doesn't necessarily have to be two firsts. Would you be willing to give up two seconds for him?

Reminder: Super Bowl 48 Champions DVD & Blu-ray hits shelves

Classic mistake. Always record the next couple programs when DVRing a live event.

Let him walk and hope someone overpays and we land a nice comp pick next season. Sherm, Maxwell, Lane, Simon, and a draft pick (or possibly a reinstated BB) is plenty deep.

    They did broadcast the ceremony.

ASJ surgery- likely to miss pro day

If we can get him in for a private workout prior to the draft, I don't see why not.

First look at the REAL most beautiful super bowl patch ever!

It's a replica from the NFL shop or the Hawks pro shop. My Chancellor jersey has the same patch. Absolutely not the chromaflex patch.

WR Riley Cooper gets $25 mil / 5 years: Golden Tate impact?

Great news for the Hawks. Hopefully JS can negotiate a similar deal with less salary, but more SB to spread out the cap hit.

Mock w/K. Ealy, S. Tuitt, or B. Urban the pick at 32?

I love Tuitt. I think he can be Red Bryant with better pass rushing skills. That said, unless he's hurt a lot worse than he sounds, some team will package picks to leapfrog ahead of us. Same applies to Kony, for that matter.

    London Jaguars?

The Concorde? IIRC it could break Mach 2, but they retired them all a decade ago.

    BB to sue the NFL

The caveat being that the CBA is very different than the labor laws that you and I operate under. Both sides seem to believe that their case is bullet proof. Should be interesting to see what a judge (or arbiter) believes.
