ESPN Seahawks only allow 39 points in last 6 games

I'm not old enough to have watched any of the historically great teams that current/recent Seahawks' defense is compared to, but I was curious to see how they compared to the rest of the league averages, each in their own era. All these numbers are pulled from Pro Football Reference. This is...

Dirty Donald Fine on RW The 1st?

It's hard to tell from the angle on the vine how much of an influence it had but Donald does get hit from behind by his own guy right as the extra push of the forearm comes. Just something else to consider in this grey-area of dirtiness.

Why do people go crazy for the Seahawks?

Ridiculous, waste of time, idiotic, pointless......awesome.

    Rams headhunting this weekend?

I was very happy to see the Rams play a clean game from what I saw. Still hoping to hear good news on the injuries from the game, but I didn't catch anything dirty on the first watch.

.NET New Year Giveaway of NewEra Hats

Because most threads are interesting, people have great perspectives and the board is (mostly) free from trolls. And they give away free hats.

Rewatched the game... a few thoughts

Football Database and Sporting Charsts also have him with just one fumble and no lost fumbles.

I know we're used to seeing a big hit every week but...

How about Chancellor's de-cleater on Stepfan Taylor in the hole? Someone needs to make a gif out of that one.

Beast Mode II (Beastquake 2, Beastquake2.0, Beastquake II)

Original Beast Quake was the better run based on the stiff-arm alone. This run was great but there were really about 2 1/2 broken tackles by Lynch. One at the LOS, Peterson, and the ankle biter at the end gets a 1/2. The OBQ has a solid 4 missed tackles. Total side note, anyone else notice ET...

    Comparing Carroll's Conferences

I haven't watched a whole lot of mid week press conferences, so I don't have much to compare his to, but Pete's PCs are actually interesting to listen to for me. Is this a unique thing compared to the rest of the league?

Bevell actually set them up pretty good with the run

Definitely happy to see them stick with the run. Pretty disappointed to not see any adjustment to the read option blocking scheme though. The Eagles just kept crashing the end, inside LB scrapes outside in the gap exchange to crush Wilson when his read tells him to keep it. It's a simple...

.Net scoop is hitting the internet - opponents penalties

In Carp's defense, that was a busted screen play where the QB typically throws the ball into the turf and play's over. Russ did his scrambling routine instead and turned it into a forward pass.

Bill Davis Jr. has the zone-read Seahawks advantage

Just read this article and noticed Wilson was referred to as a "duel-threat." I don't think there's much of a chance Russ pulls out a pair flint-lock pistols for this game. Without having gone back and watched the game again, I can only think of maybe 2 plays where we got more than a couple...

3 stand-out players that haven't been mentioned in this game

I need to call out Baldwin for his weak effort on this play. He had a chance to put a shoulder into Cox, or at the very least get a hand on him. If he does anything at all to impede Cox, Turbo is out in front blocking and Moeaki scores without getting touched.

This is the game we have all been waiting for all year

While this might be a generally true statement, I wouldn't count on Chip Kelly not knowing how to prepare for the read option.

Question for those at the game

I started typing out a comment on quarterback progressions probably indicated that was his first option and how a better throw outside was completable but after going back and watching the play, RW just flat out blew this one. And I'm not really sure how he managed to miss it. The play is...

Xs and Os talk: Carr's first TD pass

I was thinking all of that as well, just didn't feel like typing out more scenarios and potential defensive responses. I do still think with this backfield action KJ has Carr (Admittedly, not really a crucial aspect to what's happening on this play but fun to discuss). The reason I say that is...

Xs and Os talk: Carr's first TD pass

First off, I think it's man/match-up zone the whole way. Notice how both corners are playing their respective receivers straight up pre-motion. Also notice the difference in the depth of Sherman with respect to the LOS vs the depth of Simon and Burley. Those two are playing farther off to be...

Chances they flex Cardinals at Hawks?

What are the chances NBC picks up this game instead of the Dallas/NYG game? I'm wanting to make arrangements to go to the game but would be screwed if they decide to flex. I know they'll announce after this weekend but I'm trying to plan as soon as possible.
