Who got away from us in the draft?

It could have been LaRaven Clark. If he had fallen to 90 then maybe no C. J. Prosise, maybe no Nick Vannett and almost certainly no Rees Odhiambo. If it had been Clark, Prosise and Vannett, I'm not sure if that's an improvement over what they ended up with. I think it probably was Josh...

    THE annual Adopt-A-Rookie thread

Should be Collins. (once an arky, always an arky, I was born in the land of opportunity). I want it to be Jefferson because he's a Pittsburgh guy who has seen the light. But mainly because his little girl (5 years old, I believe) who waited for her que then yelled "go Seahawks" in his shoutout...

    Ruskell running the Lions?

The thing I remember about Ruskell is that he had no use for players that were not from major colleges. That tunnel vision made him miss on a lot of good players from smaller schools, it seems to me.

I have a really bad feeling about this draft

Absolutely agree with everything scutterhawk says here. It is harmless folly, but still folly it seems to me, to issue letter grades the day or the week after the draft. The fact is that we have no idea how the draftees will perform when playing against NFL veterans until they actually do that...

    Undrafted Free Agent Picks

I can's recall a grouping of Seattle free agents that I have been more excited about. Even if some of them don't make the cut to 53, looks like our practice squad is in for a major overhaul. Tre Madden will compete really well with the drafted RB's.

    Vernon Adams

"Sitting" behind Russell Wilson would hardly be sitting. Rolling out at 5 a.m. for film study with Russ while learning an NFL playbook would be like a PHD in quarterbacking. Best preparation for a young QB I can imagine him having. In quarterback years, Adams is still young enough to become a...

Are some over thinking SPARC? TAF (Or whatever it is)?

It has always been important. If the cave man is going to get away from the sabre toothed tiger, he better have a good 10 yard split.

Why are the fans attending the Draft booing the Commish?

Goodell does a good job with it, never acknowledges he has even heard it. It's just like being at the ball game, you let them know they're getting to you, then they will double the noise.

Why are the fans attending the Draft booing the Commish?

It has become such a tradition to boo the commish that I doubt some of the younger fans know why they are booing but do anyway because it's great fun. Anyway, Roger is very boo worthy. (exception: he can keep doing it to the Pats as long as he wants)

    Seahawks trade up

I was surprised that A'shawn Robinson was drafted before Reed, who is the better player in the opinion of most. While not Sparq'y, he still ranks ahead of both Robinson and Vernon Butler. By the way, didn't you love Shaun Alexander's "What up 12's"?

Deion Sanders is a painful interviewer

Put me down as one who enjoys his interviews. He's a little over the top sometimes but he definitely has a way of connecting with the players. It's like they seem to trust him or something. Is he a good in-depth interviewer? I would have to say no but he seems to draw some honest reactions out...

According to PFF, Ifedi's was worst pick of day 1

Opinions are...well, you know. PFF is guilty of the same stupidity as all the TV "expurts" and others who make instant analysis of draft picks. But even among that lot, PFF stands out as being notably bad. I have absolutely no problem with Ifedi....yet.

    Nkemdiche

Man, did you notice Nkemdiche's posse. No mama, no girlfriend. Just a bunch of guys all dressed in black sporting skinny brim porkpie hats. No, there's nothing wrong with porkpie hats, nothing wrong with all black dress. I'm just saying the look of their green room table was in sharp contrast...

Ole Miss please pick up the phone from the ncaa

There's nothing wrong with Arkansas. I was born there and spent my early years in what is now the Buffalo National River Park. Beautiful country there.

    Trade!!!

Good deal for both teams. Denver gets their quarterback and the Seahawks now have 5 picks in the top 100. With the prospect of more because someone may want that 5th year option the first round brings. Excellent !!

What if Myles Jack fell to #26?

Myles Jack at 26? In a heartbeat. Microfracture surgery is the wild card but the draft is, to some degree, a crapshoot anyway. I agree, someone will roll the bones before the Seahawks pick.

Ryan Kelly will be the first Seahawk draft pick this year...

I seem to want to ask: If smart centers who are also leaders and can make line calls are so easy to find, Why don't we have one? Why have only one guy on your roster that actually played center in college? A guy that last year somewhat solidified the position halfway through the season but...

Ryan Kelly will be the first Seahawk draft pick this year...

I just want Seattle to come away with a competent center in this draft. Kelly in the first would please me just fine. I would also be well pleased with Nick Martin in the second. Some of the other guys I find interesting are Spencer Pulley, Max Tuerk, and Graham Glasgow. Pulley is pretty...

    Stephen Weatherly - OLB/DE

I agree he made a mistake coming out early. I agree he could could use plenty of additional coaching. But that's what professional level coaches are for. What you can't coach are thirty four and a half inch arms, or ten and a half inch hands. You don't have to coach that 1.59 sec. 10 yard split...

    The Red Herring theory

Your theory sounds reasonable. I think Spriggs will be gone when the 26th pick happens. There is scant chance they will take my guy, Ryan Kelly, so defensive line it is. Unless they trade down, because I don't think Schneider's comments about draft depth and having 200 players on their draft...
