Russell Wilson leads the NFL in total yards & TDs (UPDATED)

If these numbers still hold at the end of the season and he DOESN'T win, it should be the death of the MVP award.

Is there a valid reason to root for the Rams next week?

I would gladly trade a slim chance at the #1 seed for a good chance at the division crown. The wildcard is slipping away faster than the division at this point. Punch your ticket to the dance, first class or coach, then figure it out from there.

20-5 Record In December and January since 2010

Though this stat may be skewed by the fact that we usually get to feast on weak division opponents at the end of the year. This year the Rams are real, and even Jacksonville Sunday will be a tough test. And don't the Cowboys get Elliot back for our game? And lest we forget Russ's horrid showing...

Master of December--Russell Wilson (QB Comp by the Numbers)

That's wild. And thank goodness, we're gonna need it down this stretch.

    Playoff Hopes: (12/5/17)

I had a similar thought. A thought that gets me very excited for what may be coming up.

Seahawks rookie Chris Carson nearing a return

I didn't realize Carson was averaging 4.2 YPC, at the beginning of the year no less, when our line was even worse. Even 4 YPC from our run game (not counting Wilson) would drastically improve this offense, take pressure off Wilson, and help rest the defense. I just hope we don't knock...

    Playoff Hopes: (12/5/17)

The playoffs essentially started for us Sunday. I hope Pete is preaching this. We're looking at must-win games against good teams for the rest of the season, however long we can make that last.

    Homerism in the media

I did a brief stint as a writer for a now defunct sports site and we were encouraged to stir the pot. That's how much of sports journalism works now. Stats and recaps don't get clicks--see how you've linked all of us to his site? He's getting exactly what he wanted. Hell, ESPN has like three...

Has This Team Re-discovered their Missing Chip?

To use a crude but clear analogy, my fear is that we blew our load against Philly, and are going to come out limp against the Jags. I'm not saying we will! I'm just concerned. But! If we can put two games like that together, then yes, I'd say we're back and should scare the hell out of anyone in...

Seahawks favored to win remaining four games

We also have a history of dropping winnable games, especially after big games like this. I just want to see us win next week an avoid the sluggish letdown after an emotional win. My fear is that we just emptied our tank going all out against Philly.

    Russell Wilson, MVP

He should be. Unfortunately, MVP is often decided on the stat sheet, as opposed to which player is actually most valuable to their team. But if the award still means anything, Wilson should be the front-runner.

    Ok....the lateral????

Wow, really holding that phrase at a distance. I've heard all I need to.

    Ok....the lateral????

He throws the ball behind him, homie. That's a fact.
  14. WindCityHawk

    Ok....the lateral????

In arguing the backward pass doesn't matter, you're tacitly admitting he did throw it backward. There's the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law. And anyone in a bar (outside of Philadelphia) can see Wilson pitched the ball behind him. Hence: backward pass. Unless you're an Eagles fan...

    Ok....the lateral????

Dude, watch the highlight again. The ball leaves Wilson's body headed behind his latitude. How is this discussion happening? Philly didn't challenge it because they know they would have lost.
  16. WindCityHawk

    Ok....the lateral????

We're making this more complicated than it needs to be. The ball goes behind Wilson. Forward passes don't go behind the passer. Next question.

    Bold predictions against the Eagles

Our D-line knocks Wentz out of the game (the refs throw a flag for the tackle).

It’s time for the Seahawks to end the Eddie Lacy experiment

To be fair, I told him the same thing when they picked up Christine Michael. I guess we're even? Yay?

It’s time for the Seahawks to end the Eddie Lacy experiment

I look eagerly forward to the death of Snark in internet writing. But the numbers don't lie. I work with a Packers fan who laughed when we picked up Lacy. I said the change of scenery might reinvigorate him, clear his head and get him back to rookie form (I'm an optimist in the off-season, I...
