    Coaching casualties appreciation

+1. It was just time for change. I'm not going to say I'd prefer to have them back, but I hope they land elsewhere and find success. Nothing personal against any of them.

    Why not Walt??

Oh I'm absolutely guessing. That's why I'd prefer to see him in an assisting role first so we could get closer to knowing before we give him full reign of the O-line. Would it be cool? Of course it would be cool. We all thought it was cool when Lofa came back as an assistant LB coach, but that...

    Why not Walt??

Playing and coaching are not the same thing. Look how many coaches were mediocre players. Now guess how many players would be mediocre coaches.

Poll: Who initiated the letting go of the coaches?

I know we think of Papa Paul as being standoffish, but wasn't he also in the draft room Pete's first year here screaming for Earl Thomas? I suspect he's more involved than we think, especially when we miss the playoffs and fans start talking about not renewing season tickets. This is one of his...

    Zone Blocking vs Man Blocking

I've wondered as well if we'll move away from ZBS. If I remember right, though, ZBS was Pete's idea. He had Gibbs in here for a few weeks before he retired and we brought in Cable, no? If Pete likes ZBS, it likely remains. But who knows? Maybe he's rethinking his own offensive philosophy.

    Why not Walt??

Straight to O-line coach? I'd be fine with bringing him in as an assistant, but I wouldn't hand him the keys to the kingdom with no experience. This is O-line coach, no President.

    Expectations for next years offense

A RB to lead the team in rushing.

Nervous or Excited about the Future?

Most people probably understand there will be some turbulence coming up, but I'm excited to see the necessary change. Forget scheme for a minute and just think what another season of the same regime would have said to Seahawk fans and to that locker room. Those guys were no longer known for...

    REPORT: Darrell Bevell Fired

Did you want the guy out of the league? I don't wish him any ill will, I just didn't want him running our offense anymore.

    OC Candidates + Further Questions

According to this, Cable has been shown the same door as Richard. A soft axe, it sounds like.

    Kris Richard Next???

Can't argue with that. Still, it's surprising after the leeway they appeared to give Bevell. I guess as long as they've sharpened the axe, may as well use it.

    REPORT: Darrell Bevell Fired

https://twitter.com/CHawk_Talk/status/951155680760643584 Eh, that's a pretty softly worded tweet. "It's thought that..." By whom? The fans, the media, or someone actually inside the office?

    Kris Richard Next???

Wow, give our injuries on that side of the ball, I didn't think Richard did too bad. I'm worried seeing Richard's name called before Cable's...

    OC Candidates + Further Questions

Why would Sark make a lateral move away from a playoff team? A shot at taking over when Pete leaves, I guess? But that's really putting the cart before the horse.

Blair Walsh deserves a spot in the Ring of Honor

He won us a playoff game from the opposing sideline, and now he's gotten rid of Bevell. Forgive us, Walsh. Only now do we understand your divine plan for us.

Top 3 Worst moves by front office?

Trust me, this is not a Millennial problem. I know plenty of Boomers who seem to think world history began with the Cold War, and seniors who have never looked further back than the Great Depression. Victorian scholars are shaking their heads at all of us, and pre-industrial historians are...

    REPORT: Darrell Bevell Fired

I have no doubt that Bevell is a fine man, but this is a good and necessary move. Consider how often we joked about not having to tune into a game until the second half because the offense wouldn't get off the ground until the 3rd quarter. The offense was so unreliable that you could rely on...

Panthers fire OC and QB coach after playoff loss

From NFL.com (http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap300000 ... mike-shula) "Shula helped nurture Cam Newton early in his career, and piloted the quarterback to his 2015 MVP season. The OC, however, often caught the ire of Panthers fans for an up-and-down offense that lacked a consistent identity...

Oof, imagine going from the emotional high off that big tackle for a loss to losing the game on the next play.

Seahawks "interested" in Gus Bradley [Signed w/ SD]

What am I missing here? Why would Cable be fired if we got a new DC? He's still the O-line coach, no?
