He's the common denominator. We can't identify OL talent and we can't coach it. Haven't been able to for years. Not sure why Cable is retained. I'd genuinely be interested to hear an argument in favor of keeping Cable. Anyone have one?
The guard play was far worse than the tackle play, and the tackle play was poor. The guard play was simply untenable, don't know what else to say about it. Can't win with it.
The thing I don't understand about the treatment of TEs on this team is that PC obviously wants a TE like Zach Miller... so why not get one? No need to spend big money on Jimmy if you aren't going to use him. Pete is great at adapting the scheme to the talents of our defensive players...
We lost an exceedingly winnable game for no reason other than the abysmal play of the offensive line, which has been a trend for years now. But sure, we can pretend this is an aberration.
Not calling it a season, that's just silly, but I don't think criticism of the OL is overreaction at all. It's atrocious and has been for a few years now.
