Season sweep by the Padres. 🤷‍♂️

3 runs on one hit, and the hit had nothing to do with the runs. 🤷‍♂️

They hit, we didn't. Kirby good through 5, can't finish the 6th giving up 6 runs.

Crazy season. We suck at home. 🤷‍♂️

Emerson shows some leather, nothing at the plate. Did score after drawing a walk.

And Dan Wilson this weekend STILL wants to show he's the smartest guy in the room by pinch hitting wayyyyy earlier than needed which then removes strategy later in the game.

So is the Wilson experiment over yet? Can we get a real manager and GM? Stop hiring guys from the 95 team that didn’t make the World Series. We have zero World Series. Stop trying to hire guys with ties to the team.

At what point is last season considered a fluke? It seems that is the way things are heading.

Baseball is a funny game. Sometimes you have it, sometimes you don’t. So far this season, something just seems off. Morale seems…off kilter. Not necessarily low, just off kilter. The Ms just don’t have it yet. Hopefully something clicks later in the year and everything will be fine, but I have to see much of anything to inspire confidence that it will.

I was calling for Dan Wilson to be canned right out the gate this season, and I understand the eye rolling to that thought. He just isn’t a very good in game decision maker. And, correct me if I’m wrong, but isn’t another one of the manager’s responsibilities to keep morale steady?

I don’t know, something just has felt off since the get go this season, and I don’t like it. Other teams have figured out that our pitchers are too aggressive in the zone and good teams who can actually hit, unlike us for the past 20 years, can and will beat you.

Dan ain't good but it's Justin and Jerry and Stanton mostly. Their plan of home run or die doesn't work unless you actually have home run hitters.
Since 2023:
Pollack
Wong
La stella
Rivas
Refsnyder
Joe
Tellez
Tavares
Ford
Rojas
Urias

Wtf.

Everyone thought 2022 was the break through year by making the playoffs but it's been a disaster ever since. Last season was a fluke run it's a very different team now.

Look what Cleveland and Tampa have been doing with their low payroll. That's what the Ms need to be doing. Ms think they can swing for the fences like they are the Yankees or something. It's a joke. And if you can't sign decent platoon guys, forget about it.

Adding further insult, The A's and White Sox - two of the worst records in the AL last season have winning records. A's are in first place in the AL West.

We have entered... the Twilight Zone.

Ms this season are on the verge of being dead to me. Don't worry, that's a slight exaggeration, but still.

Maybe they're only competitive during odd-numbered years?

This season is definitely getting a Twilight Zone like feel to it. Let's face it; expectations need lowered. The lack of timely hitting is particularly concerning. It seems to go way beyond simply bad luck. And nothing good seems consistent. And what's with the failed platooning? And if I see Raley or Canzone pulled for Refsnyder or Joe one more time I may puke. And...

Team is in a massive funk. They need to change something, I just don't know what. Probably moving Crawford out of SS to start.

The platoon stuff isn't working. Refsnyder is an automatic out. Has he platoon stuff ever worked?

I get up to use the bathroom and get something to drink everytime Refsnyder comes up to bat. This year’s Kolten Wong

I like how we signed Refsnyder because he hits for great average against lefties. We only play him vs lefties and he is hitting less than .125 on the season. I've been saying this all along but that's on the hitting coach, and whatever approach they are taking.

This team is brutal to watch all around.
