Who is your all time favorite Defensive Lineman and why?

The thought crossed my mind and I was wondering what your guy's thoughts were.

Mine is Jacob Green, he was just a dominant force and so much fun to watch as a kid.

Here is AI's top 10...
  • Cortez Kennedy (DT): Hall of Famer, 8x Pro Bowler, 1992 Defensive Player of the Year, and a cornerstone of the franchise.
  • Jacob Green (DE): The Seahawks' official all-time sack leader (\(97.5\)) during his dominant 1980–1991 run.
  • Michael Sinclair (DE): 3x Pro Bowler with \(73.5\) career sacks, the second-most in team history.
  • Michael Bennett (DE/DT): A versatile, explosive pass-rusher and key piece of the "Legion of Boom" defense.
  • Jeff Bryant (DE): Reliable, long-time starter who tallied \(63\) sacks across 12 seasons.
  • Cliff Avril (DE): Pro Bowler who was an elite edge-rusher during Seattle's Super Bowl runs.
  • Joe Nash (DT): 1x Pro Bowler, team staple for 15 seasons, and part of the Seahawks Top 50 Players list.
  • Brandon Mebane (DT): Underrated but dominant run-stuffer and locker-room leader during the 2010s.
  • Red Bryant (DE): Known for his elite run-stopping and being a massive tone-setter on the edge.
  • Frank Clark (DE): Recorded \(35\) sacks in four seasons with Seattle, including a \(13\)-sack season in 2018. [1, 2, 3, 4, 5]

Leonord is my favorite. I love his leadership and how much he seems to love it here. He brings the culture

I remember when leonord was a jet, I thought life wasn’t fair

Another one I liked was Sheldon Richardson bummed when we didn’t resign him. I thought he brought that culture too

Joe Nash, the antics and stuff he pulled were great, as a Player Kennedy on ability, Bennett on the whole package not just on the field but personality.

Jacob Green is a guy who get's lost in the conversation of all-time 'hawks. The dude belongs on the hall of fame. Long-time great player and sack master. Before the Superbowl era players started showing up, Jacob was easily a top-5 all time player for us.

Jeff Bryant for me as I coached at Clemson and met him and talked with him for over an hour at an Alumni banquet, not to mention he was a bad ass when he played.

Cortez. The hot dog incident on the sidelines during pre-season game sealed it for me. I think he sent some to the other sideline, too.

Plus, got to meet him in person a couple of years before he sadly passed away. Yes, he was all class. Some of you remember me telling the story of him mentioning me in an NFL.com article. I think it was when he was elected to the HOF.
