He gives me Sherman vibes. I'm here for it.

I thought the exact same thing. Even his scouting report weaknesses - stiff hips and change of direction. I recall the hip thing being one of the things on Sherm's scouting report that ticked him off

Crazy how far this guy has fallen. His knee must be really effed up. He was supposed to be one of the top 3 CB's in the draft. Ranked #19 by DJ leading up to the draft. Really sucks for a guy who committed his life to football and got an injury at the worst time possible. Hopefully he made some NIL $$.
Looks like the Raiders are going to take that risk with him 'cause they drafted him.

The Raiders thought otherwise. lol
They do some dumb things... never know though.. one year on practice squad never practicing to recoop the knee.. he could be amazing.........

Man..didn’t this cat have the overall best zone coverage score? Aggregation wise?

He’s a beast.

If he can recover from his injury, the Raiders got an absolute monster steal here.

Im kind of hoping Neal not only utilizes the Seahawks film library and watches a bunch of Sherman tape. Im also hoping Sherman connects with him in the real workd and becomes an off field mentor.

Because Neal’s floor looks like Mike Jackson (who gave the Ram’s fits and Seahawks fits with aggressive, physical style) and his potential ceiling could be a poor man’s Sherman if he ups the mental game and technique refinement especially working on maxing out his agility. But Neal already possesses the physicality and gritty confidence in his game to be potentially be an dominant enforcer type at CB.

This article points out that there were two corners out of the 32 measured at the combine who weighed over 200#:
Julian Neal and Andre Fuller.

They are also now the 1st and 2nd tallest CBs on the roster.

Last year I noticed that everyone we drafted was the biggest/fastest at their position -- a nod to increasing physicality -- but this seems a little more, "We need someone who's gonna knock Puka around."

The guy was our achilles heel last year, maybe these guys are the solution.
