40-yard dash times aren't everything. The NFL went from hand timing to electronic timing in 1999. From 1999 to 2026 inclusive there have been 59 RBs selected in the 1st round. I've listed all RBs selected in the 1st round by fastest time order, as listed on Wikipedia, and only using an official NFL Combine time. 11 of the RBs either didn't test for a 40-yard dash time at the Combine or it isn't listed on their individual Wikipedia page. Price is #32 of 48. Full details are in the spoiler below. Where times are equal i've listed by earliest date first:

The guy reminded me of Chris Warren watching him in College but now I see the highlights and he kind of reminds me of Roger Craig too. I think he is a great pick, the 1st rd 32 is really like a 2nd rounder anyways and no way the guy makes it out of round two. I actually remember a pundit referencing Price as the Seahawks' 1st pick not long after Walker bailed.

Pick is fine. With so many trades happening ahead of them, I doubt there was really many options left to move down. I do think there was, but if they identified Price as who they wanted, who’s to say the niners wouldn’t have picked him with pick 33 for an eventual CMC replacement?

Not liking the pick is your business. My argument was your complaint for him not being RB1 which was naive as I said.
It isn't naive. A first round RB pick that doesn't even start on his college team is a pretty rare pick. Maybe Price is great (and I hope he is) but clearly he isn't elite or he would have been the starter.

What do you do if you have 2 elite RBs on your team, call them both starters? Doesn't work that way, I think.

He seems to have the same qualities as K9
I think K9 has a little more elite acceleration and quickness and run-away-from-the DBs speed, but Price has better north-south running skills without Walker's East-West problem. Sometimes the East-West BS worked out for Walker, because of his elite acceleration and lateral agility. Price is better at making guys miss and reading and eluding tacklers while going North-South. Love both their games. i think Price fits the Seattle wide zone scheme better.
Also Price has kickoff return skills so teams can't just kick away from the dangerous Shaheed with Price back there.

He is much slower than K9, good part is he sticks his foot in the ground and hits a crease rather than often dancing and losing 4 yards often killing drives like k9 did
Yes, agreed. K9 spoiled us with his elite speed and agility. His 10 yard TD run against Pittsburgh showed that off. Also, K9 has better top end to run away from the speediest defenders and get to the house. Price is only a small tick slower in football speed, but sometimes he will get caught before the house where Walker wouldn't. Walker takes it to the house 55 yards vs the Rams, maybe Price gets tackled from behind at the 5.

I also love the pick because Price is a TOTAL SEAHAWK! just looking at his personal life and challenges and struggles and how he handled them. Love the pick!

You don’t have to be on the clock to ry and make a trade. By the time they were on the clock all possibilities had probably been exausted.
If they wait until they are on the clock to make deals, it is already too late. 🤷‍♂️

I love how this draft went now that three rounds are in. I don't think Price is an elite type RB but he is good and a great fit for us. I'll be rooting hard for Price. I like all three guys we got. Very excited to watch Price play. I'm over the value aspect, we needed an RB and got a good one.

I also don't think Price is elite.....YET.

But in this offense...with this offensive line?

I think he will be.
