I think they felt there was a much bigger hole at RB than they were letting on and feared if they waited until #64 that both Price and Washington might be gone.

Anyone thinking that the Seahawks could’ve gone into the season with their current stable of running backs or could’ve waited to the end of the second round to hopefully get a running back they wiped who is still available. I think it’s out of their mind. The running backs in the draft are not simply interchangeable and equal. They obviously viewed Price as a cut above the rest and were unwilling to take their chances to “hopefully“ get someone that was close to his caliber at the end of round two.

I was so hung up on RG that I looked past the biggest need. The top 2 RBs (behind the main 2) had less than 100 yards combined all season. That's not enough yards, to know what you really have.
This is a needs draft, there was way to many positions that were left vacant during the off-season. Was he the best player available? Maybe, but probably not, however he does fill the greatest need.

I was surprised, and even more surprised how the commentaters were convinced Price was the only option as we had such a need at RB.
I don't follow the college game much but IMO we had too glaring needs for an immediate starter, RB and CB. I thought Price at 32 was a bit of a reach and Washington and Coleman were viable options to get later so when we didn't trade down I was expecting CB, several options available, McCoy would probably be best if cleared medically, but having dropped so far he was obviously a risk but Hood and Terrell were on most draft boards at around this point so I was expecting us to take one of those.
Still I trust JS he knows far far more than me.

Not thrilled with the pick but not mad about it either because of the need. I do think we will miss Walker more than we’re leading on to with his ability to hit the corner and carry people.

I'm not mad at the pick but I really would have liked another D tackle or Bisontis out of A&M so we could give Bradford a greyhound bus ticket and deactivate his vmac access.

BAHHAHA!!! As a huge fan of B. Sanders, you didn't miss. It was a different era though. My first response is to say Barry juked every one, but this kid did average 6 yards a carry. We will see
