I'm staying with my first Draft Crush player... Chris Johnson (CB, SDSU)... perhaps at #32, perhaps early 2nd round after trading back a few spots.

Perfectly fits the mold of 'Tough, Smart, Fast, Reliable'.

I had a dream a couple weeks back that they took Colton Hood, we'll see if that dream was actually a premonition. 😅

So hard to figure this one out. They are in such a good position they could take any body they like. I feel pretty positive JS wants to move back and I think he'll find a partner.

I'll just take a random guess say he moves back at least once. Zion Young EDGE my guess.

After reading Michael-Shawn Dugar's article about how John builds his board based on the Seahawks roster and expiring contracts, I'm switching my pick to Kayden McDonald (DT, OSU) based strongly on a projected need for IDL in a couple of years.

If the Seahawks trade out of the first round, then the TV folks will have to skip the commercial they always happen to show when we're on the clock. Would the NFL allow that?

Someone in the truck probably has their hand over a big red button that reads "Seahawks pick, commercial break"

That's their only job is to be ready to press that button at a moments notice.

It wouldn't be my pick because I favor one of the CB's or to go by the pound at RG or DT, but.

Losing Bryant & Woolen has left the biggest roster hole and could be addressed from different angles. But since trading #52 & #82 to get chess piece Emmanwori at #35, I suspect they have a "So you're sayin' there's a chance" crush on Dillion Thieneman.

In my psilocybin induced vision I see John trading #32, our 2nd next year and Olu to move up to #18 where the Vikings are favored to pick him. #18 (900pts) / #32 (590pts)
The Vikings could use some center competition after the retirement of pro bowler Ryan Kelly.
The Jets, Cowboys and KC are also linked to Thieneman and he is not a perfect prospect so it's a longshot roll of the dice.

6-0, 205, 4.35
Experience at FS, SS, nickel
Competitive fire burns hot
High football IQ
Swiss army knife DB
QB of the backend
Can play everything from center field, to LOS to slot
Has production in multiple schemes and alignments

This is a weak draft and I think some players in the 20 to 50 range have been artificially elevated to fill in the blanks. Picks in this draft are pretty much strings of carnival raffle tickets and if you have a chance at a difference maker you take him.

If we stick and pick at #32, then I'm going with (OLB/DE) Malachi Lawrence, UCF. He is one of the more polarizing players in the first couple of rounds. He is my favorite player in the draft and I know I'm much higher on him than most. A lot of media scouts have him as a 2nd round prospect, but I have seen a couple of outliers have him rated as the #1 pass rusher - #3 pass rusher in the draft (which aligns with my take on Lawrence).

Former NFL (DE) Chris Long gave Lawrence his seal of approval as did former NFL scout Daniel Jeremiah.

If we trade down, then I'm going with (OLB/DE) Keyron Crawford, Auburn. I posted a mock a few week ago selecting him in the mid-3rd round (pick acquired from mock trade). Then a few days later I heard or read that he was a sleeper and don't be surprised if he was drafted early to mid-2nd round. So if we trade down into the 40's, then I can see us drafting Crawford.

I'd say we will trade down a couple times for a couple more picks

Trade down into second around and take Colton Hood - CB - Tennessee

For the record, I don't claim to heavily follow the draft or all the guys coming out. This is just a guess on my part.
But I'm prepared for "you don't know crap, Soul" and I'm here for it 🤘 🍺 (y)
Bruh you don't konw crap, Soul... and neither do I
