An all-time great, HOF Seahawk.Truly depends on how we define greatness.
What I mean is…
Jerry Rice was a Seahawk

I’m certainly not saying he’s a definitive HOFer but to say it’s laughable in my opinion is not correct. If the committee was comparing modern QBs to the inductees of the 60s, every decent QB of the past 30 years would be in. Also, it's the "Hall of Fame", not the "Hall of Their First Ten Seasons".
When Russ is finally eligible, he's unlikely to be in the top 10 in passing yards or TDs. He has just one All-Pro, and it was second team. He's never received an MVP vote, let alone win, no all-decade, and now he has a reputation of a guy whose career completely tanked after leaving the Seahawks, with three teams (so far) that couldn't wait to move on from him. Parts of his narrative include a Super Bowl-losing INT and being part of one of the worst trades in league history. He has a lot of Pro Bowls, but those are going to become incredibly devalued now that everyone makes it in.
He would have an uphill battle if the HOF hadn't tightened up their voting. He has no chance now.
I don't think Rivers or Ryan make it either. I thought Eli would at first, but I'm doubting it with how they changed voting. Russ will never even come close. Ryan was league MVP at least though, and Rivers' volume stats blow away Russ'. The difference between Rivers' passing yards (8th all time) and Russ (16th) is more than the difference between Russ and #57 Randall Cunningham.I’m certainly not saying he’s a definitive HOFer but to say it’s laughable in my opinion is not correct.
Rivers was an 8x Pro-Bowler, Both Eli and Matt Ryan were 4x Pro-Bowlers. Russ is a 10x Pro-Bowler. I’m going to say Russ has a better resume than all 3 of those guys. Yes even with Eli winning two Russ was the better pro quarterback.

The Definitive List:
1. Walter Jones
2. Bobby Wagner
3. Cortez Kennedy
4. Steve Largent
5. Earl Thomas
6. Richard Sherman
7. Kenny Easley
8. Jacob Green
9. Shaun Alexander
10. Russell Wilson
Thomas's heart was in the game and for the team till Pete pissed him off. Russell was about the brand, it happened that some things coeinsided with that for a while, that while was until he Married Ciara, then the ME3 movement, let Russ Cook, I am bigger then the Seahawks and More important than any OC, GM or Coach here came into play.
Which is also why I think the whole Worst play in history was about Russ as well.
Look at all he accomplished in Denver and then NY, he had everything he asked for and even the Coach he wanted to play for and still failed to play as a Franchise type QB that can carry versus a piece that could acheive things together. That also failed due to M3 attitude.I disagree, but it's only my opinion. One side believes Russ was just about himself and wanted his name in lights and all the accolades, while the other side (me belonging here) believes that the guy just wanted to win and was at odds with the organization because he knew it was never going to get better while the stagnant coach was still here. The whole 'Let Russ Cook' was a byproduct of years with crappy Olines and a must to improvise to get positive results. The issues with it all was by that time, Russ regressed and the wheels werent there anymore and it didnt matter anyways as Carroll would go back to neutering the offense again as soon as a couple of turnovers would happen instead of letting him work through it.
I have and will never hold anything over Russ for wanting out of Seattle. Thr writing was on the wall and an ultimatum was the only way out. I dont blame him. I would have done the same.

This is why the wheels fell off after the mint green tux. This is also one of the reasons I like Milroe so much, but not the only reason.I said he had regressed. He couldn't run like he used to. He was guilty of thinking he could still play at that prime level when he couldn't (Heck I was guilty of thinking he could too), but when he finally realized he couldn't, he asked and then demanded for a better Oline in which he never got. Saying all that, i'll be the first to say that it wouldn't have mattered anyways. He was broken by then. He was never going to be a pocket QB because he had the instinct to run all the time because he always had to.
I took the easy way out, obviously. Sorry, here's my thought out listSo 7 is 3 people? lol
This.I cannot, in good conscience, make an all time list of (what I’ll label) a fan favorite list of all time Seahawks with a player who forced a trade. Therefore my list wouldn’t have Wilson on it.
Well Wilson at that point had his best years behind him. Maybe he was thinking of the team when he forced the trade so we would get the picks and rebuild. lolI cannot, in good conscience, make an all time list of (what I’ll label) a fan favorite list of all time Seahawks with a player who forced a trade. The topic is "Top 10 Seahawks of all time" not who had the best stats. RME3 was only concerned about his legacy not the team or being a Seahawk. Yes, he was a great football player for five years. It was never for the glory of the Seahawks, Fans or City. It was about him. That is my opinion and that is why he is NOT a Top 10 Seahawk. Bobo has as many rings and he loves being a Seahawk. Put Bobo on the list.I’ve never said this before on this board, but I’m gonna say it now. Just stop!!! with the ridiculous comments about Russell Wilson not being a top 10 player in Seahawks history. He wasn’t just good, he was obscene with how great he was for most of his 10 years here. Just so no one can retort with “it was the defense that won all those games”, here are JUST the individual records that Wilson broke, and just within his first five years that had nothing to do with the defense, etc.
Russell Wilson highest in history records in first five seasons:
1- 18,193 passing yards, 127 touchdowns, and
2- a 99.6 passer rating, the highest in NFL history through a player's first five seasons!
3-Highest adjusted yards per pass attempt (AY/A) through 5 seasons in NFL history (8.20)
4-Most multi-touchdown/zero-interception games through 5 seasons in NFL history
I get that everyone is entitled to their opinion, but if there was ever a time where it’s not about opinion, but fact, this is it.
