I think a decent way to measure a teams dominance is point differential
The 2013 Hawks had a point differential (including Play-offs) of +235 the second highest in the NFL in the last 25 years.
The team that knocked them down to second ? The 2025 Hawks (+246).

Eh, the 2019 Ravens had a regular season differential of +249 and went one-and-done in the playoffs.

I prefer DVOA, which still has them at amazing heights.

2025 is clear the better “teammate” than the 2013 team.

There is seemingly higher comraderie with this 2025 team than the 2013 one.

This 2025 seem to just vibe and get along with each other better than the first Super Bowl Champion team.

A lot of love in this 2025 among the team, a lot of ego in the 2013 team.

The Mike Macdonald era seems to be the stuff of Legends and is just starting!

Play wise, 2025 team vs 2013 team using 2013 rules.

The 2025 team vs 2013 team, the game would be a close game.

Option 3: Does it really matter?

Why does everything have to be a contest or a comparison?

2025 team.

Macdonald would destroy Bevell. Wilson would’ve looked lost trying to diagnose the 2025 defense, this D line is better than that O line.

And JSN would’ve cooked Maxwell and especially Browner on the left side of the field. Sherm would’ve had to just cover Kupp or Shaheed.

2025 squad 21
2013 squad 16

I guess if I had to choose, 2025 is more of a TEAM, FAMILY, etc.

Talent wise, of course it's 2013.

Different types of teams and defenses.

2013: ME ME ME ME ME. I WANT ALL THE CREDIT!
2025: US US US US US. I REFUSE TO TAKE CREDIT, I TALK ABOUT MY TEAMMATES.

Just sayin'

The Ravens lost that play-off game 28-12 so their point differential including play-offs was +233 just behind the 2013 Seahawks.

Slightly off topic but i've enjoyed Matt Hasselbacks media stuff this season. He was at the Colts in 2013 and 14 so we never heard his takes and experiences about the 2005 team during the last super bowl runs. Hearing them now is really interesting on how they approached certain moments. He insinuated that a lot of the team/coach thought it was job done after the NFC championship game. Holmgren approached things very differently vs Carroll and vs MacDonald. Chewed people out but motivated differently as well.

I dont know which team is better. But as we are talking about the XLVIII team, has Pete Carroll commented LX in any way? Russ had that Go Hawks 🏆🏆 tweet and the parade had the Legends bus with many players from the first Super Bowl winning team. But I haven’t seen anything from Pete.

May be premature, but I like 2025 team better. Fewer egos and divas, almost none by all evidence so far. I may change my mind come the off season, but I think it is a better TEAM, rather than a group of stars.
This.

And although we were in some tight games this past season, I don't feel the 'desperation' in every 4th quarter comeback. I feel like they just get to work. No more kool-aid stuff "Can you lose a game in the first quarter?!" from PC.

Call it Dark Side, call it M.O.B. - call it whatever. MM calls it: "Get to work."

Totally agree with egos and divas. Let's just hope JSN stays grounded. So, ya, my vote's the current team. Less drama and more team.

I chose the current team because they seem to be full of selfless players where as the 2013 team had too many problems within the lockeroom which ultimately led to their dismay.
Yeah but that wasn't the question.

Better collection of body annihilating mean killers out for blood in spite of the system, with Beastmode, perhaps the best all around TEAM back in NFL history? 2013 wins. Mike and John's current iteration just should not be compared, it is a wildly different environment.

Pete would have for sure taken his shirt off and drafted Milroe though lol.

I say 2013. That team felt dominant. I know we had a good team this year but we were also fortunate there wasn’t a lot of good teams. Rams were the best but the rest were highly flawed. We took advantage of it.

This is where its hard to compare eras. Back then the read option ran riot and defences found it tough to defend before solutions were eventually found. The 2 safety system the lob had wasn't figured out till the chargers game in 2014 when Antonio gates ran riot and teams learned to use te's against it.

I couldn't choose but the thought crossed my mind . The Legion shut down the most prolific offense in NFL history though. Not saying MOB couldn't have done the same

With how tough the competition was last season, and how great a year Matt Stafford put up, and we beat them two of three times to go on to win the Super Bowl, kind of tips the scale towards the more complete 2025 Seahawks.
The 2025 Seahawks (to my eye) appears to be a more complete team on both sides of the ball. Oh and, the fact that they avenged the loss to the Patriots by creaming their azzes IN the 49rs stadium? = PRICELESS.
If the teams that we beat last season seemed flawed, it was because Macdonalds' team made them look that way.
