Which version of the 2013 Seahawks are we getting? The theoretically complete version has Sidney Rice, Brandon Browner, and Percy Harvin all available to play.

But that version of the team only played once - a 20 point home win over the Vikings.

I'd take that 2013 Seahawks to beat any other team in NFL history. But is it fair to assume that's the one we get?

This D is scary - better than the LOB? Maybe maybe not. Both excellent - but this D does not have that one guy you need to game plan around - like a Crosby or a Garrett. That is tough to navigate. LOB had a couple real stars that you had to game plan for. That may become the case with the Dark Side - but not just yet.

Just an observation.

I'll always look back at the LOB years with gratitude and fondness for the memories. But for me, in this moment, this is a better team. The deciding factor being this team is more of a "TEAM". I can't help but notice how they, the offense, defense and special teams speak of each other with respect, and dare I say...with love. They definitely have each others backs like I've never seen before.

2025.

The 2013 team barely escaped from Kaepernick. I mean the Hawks put the 49ers down in the playoffs this season.

This team got to a point where they consistently handed out ass whippings when we needed them the most and it didn't matter who they faced.

This Super Bowl caps a winning streak of 10 games. That is nothing short of incredible.

The 2013 team was far less complete.

Voted 2025 for one simple reason. Mike MacDonald would have this defense ready for the RPO of the 2013 team and with how little we disguised what we were doing with the Cover 3, he would have had ideas how to beat it.

this team finished the season on a 10 game winning streak. The 2013 team i believe lost late in the reg season. Tough question.

If you're talking single year, then I have to point out that the 2013 team completely obliterated the number one scoring offense of all time. This year's team manhandled Drake Maye. I'm super excited for this win, and I think there is a real chance of multiple championships for this team. But for one year, I think history will judge the 2013 team as more impressive.

I chose the current team because they seem to be full of selfless players where as the 2013 team had too many problems within the lockeroom which ultimately led to their dismay.

Lets give it another season or 2. LOB made 2 superbowls.
Agree. Need more time. I loved this team a bit more…all the stories, smashing narratives…and tbh, I like more players overall from this years team.

But…damn…LOB days had some of my favorite players of ALL TIME to include Marshawn, Sherm, Kam, Wagz…

Don't bite he doesn't really think that he's just bored and trying to start a Russ war lol
Yeah, that’s why I wrote that, SMH. In 2013 and the ensuing years after, many on this board and I’m sure, including you thought that Russell Wilson was the best quarterback that’s organization had and it wasn’t even close. The dude was a magician with an unbelievably terrible offensive line. That’s the only reason why I made the comment was because people were saying the 2013 team was great other than the quarterback.

May be premature, but I like 2025 team better. Fewer egos and divas, almost none by all evidence so far. I may change my mind come the off season, but I think it is a better TEAM, rather than a group of stars.
Was gonna post the same thing. Well said

They are just different. LOB had a chip on their shoulder but also had the National media talking about seattle for the first time in forever/put seattle on the map. From 2012 onwards

I would also like to see how this team handles some more adversity before comparing to the LOB (i actually dont want to see adversity and hope its all plane sailing in 2026 and beyond but you get the drift). Whether that be season ending injuries to key players, how they do having lost the OC. LOB lost Gus Bradley in 2013, had the Percy Harvin stuff blow up in their face in 2014 forcing them to trade him, had to cut key guys like browner, tate and thurmond, numerous injuries. Completely whiffed in the 2014 draft etc and still made the super bowl. Super bowl hangovers are real. Some vets lose a bit of hunger and make business decisions, sometimes unintentionally. Others want paid, some get paid and get fat and happy etc.

I do think this time around JS has learned lessons. I don't think he goes for flashy skill players in trades/free agency. There is less headcases in the team this time to disrupt. If he does make a trade I'm guessing its for someone already paid. I think him and MM will be more ruthless and less loyal to any players not pulling their weight. I just hope he does better in the draft than 2014 picking 32nd and nails the OC hire.

2013. A lot of HOF talent and star power on that team. This team has a ways to go.

I hear you but right after their Super Bowl victory and right after this Super Bowl victory comparing those two teams I still think 2013 was overall better. Let’s see what happens to this team with a Super Bowl victory under their belt with free agency and contracts looming.
