Just curious. Sound off with:

1. Current team (state, division)
2. Position coached/coaching
3. Best football experience

Coached all through pee-wee and last year at middle school.

In Ohio so, the leagues are really set well. D1.

Head coach in pee-wee. Linebackers and O-line in 7th…

Low level experience but, it was a fun time.

Best football experience was seeing my son blossom into what he wanted to do in the sport. Year after year, exponential growth. His best game last year he rushed for 161 yards…with about half of those being YAC. One TD…it was a great feeling for sure!

Currently, not coaching.

Coached the 8th grade level (Midgets) for 15 years. Started as a defensive positional coach (DBs), then moved to Def Coordinator (4-4), then switched sides of the ball to offensive coordinator (Pro Style). Never head coached, didn't want the parental headaches.

My favorite experience as a coach was my first year. We inherited a team that hadn't scored a touchdown the previous year, and only got 3 first downs the entire year. We had 19 players and none of them were All Stars. We won 2 games that year. Very rewarding to see a toxic group of young men band together to accomplish goals.

Parents suck…we had so many that knew the HS AD…would complain that we were running too much…complain about who was getting the ball…changing the way we did things (couldn’t run anymore unless it was a football play).

Exhausting…so, I pulled my son out and am now in a private, catholic school.

Talk about some salty ass folks…they’re pissed now 😂🤣

Interesting observation, when I travelled to foreign countries, I tried to visit their schools, mainly k-12, sometimes colleges too. From the countries with top rated schools, many of them in Asia and northern Europe, students were taught to respect teachers and parents seldom get in the way.
